HUGE numbers of female viewers have stopped watching The Footy Show on Channel 9.

Female viewers have slumped 40,000 in the past 10 weeks to 175,000.

But the show continues to beat its competitors, including Seven's Trinny & Susannah Undress The Nation and Ten's Medium, ratings figures show.

The Footy Show has come under pressure over a skit in which Sam Newman manhandled a lingerie-clad mannequin dressed as a female journalist.

Total viewers fell from 432,385 in March to 379,567 this week, but up on last year when it averaged 373,000 viewers.

So of the 53,000 viewers that have stopped watching, they say 40,000 are woman.... Interesting but the show is still rating better than ever so what will the Laddettes do next to try and destroy it?
