Well good folks, it's Friday which means it's the day Sporty does the least work he does does all week. I know, this is hard to believe considering he does very little for the other 4 days, but trust me, it's something he's very willing to give his all in.

However, it's no mean feat, and something he probably couldn't do on his own, so please my fellow Bulldog folk, when you enter this board today, if it be for the first, second, third, or even more times for the day, please contribute something to this thread. A hello, a quick story, whatever you feel like, it's up to you.

Thankyou
Sporty :)

POETS day sounds better and less American!

Anyone going to see Werribee at Whitten Oval tonight? I wonder how many semoir listed players will play?

I saw the KISS Symphony dress rehersal at Telstra Dome last night with about 200 other people.

Gene Symons is a funny man.

Peter Chris looks like my nana.

Chicago is back! I was getting a bit worried there for a while. Whether is is Mrs. O'Leary's (?) cow, Michael Jackson's Pepsi Commercial or a nightclub in New Hampshire, New Jersey or New England (New somewhere anyway), fire seems to bring the Americans grief from time to time.

Glad to know you are OK, Chicago.:)

I'm considering going to see the Soweto Gospel Choir.

I myself thought about going to see the Soweto Gospel Choir. They looked fantasic. When i was with the US team during the international cup, there was a game before the US involving South Africa. They were on the field doing a warm down and chanting!! It was one of the most incredible things i had ever seen, 30 people, chanting melodically, it was inspirational and for that reason, i thought about seeing the Soweto Gospel Choir, but the season is finished here in Melbourne, so i have missed my chance :(

Only makes rare visits here these days - they probably correspond with him requiring a little more linguistic research material for his English teaching purposes.

And I'm still refusing to contribute to this thread.

That's Rhode Island, Mr W! Is the Footscray Advertiser your main source of world news? ;)

I've been around. I've contributed to the guys v. gals threads recently! They reminded me of why I chose to teach in all boys colleges for over 20 years!(Just kidding girls!)

Things are still a bit difficult here at home. My dad's in hospital yet again and will be moving to an extended care facility tomorrow(Friday). The little tiffs I've read on these boards the last week have made life a bit more bearable! :D

On a good note...... the best mayor in the world, Richard M. Daley of Chicago, was re-elected on Tuesday with 79% of the vote. Not as much as Saddam Hussein's last victory, but...........;) :D

I haven't read a newspaper since Heart Balm was dropped.

I don't know where I got the "New" bit from. I was watching the news and ..... hey, thats where I probbly heard it" Sandra Sulley probably said 'In the news today a fire in a nightclub" And me not concentrating on her words heard " In New Jersey today a fire in a nightclub". I should concentrate more on what she is saying instead of seeing if brainwaves can make a blouse button disintegrate.

Glad to hear you are all right and I hope things go as well as they can with your father.

good tickets are proving hard to get. trying a few venues even up the north coast. I want to take Addy along. He likes this sort of stuff. He did a presentation at school on African music and got a merit certificate and he's only 5!

Well it was a lot of fun, but I think the MSO and KISS are a bit mismatched. I liked the KISS-only stuff better.

With a huge crowd it might be a different experience, with the fireworks and all that stuff.

Memories of '83 in Newport, Rhode Island maybe? Nah ... I preferred the Sandra Sully story.

How'd you get past p3?

Please note that none of the above constitutes a contribution.
