I lost my league match by 14 points.

Johnson has a set shot after the siren he kicks it i win he misses it i lose.

This game is so cruel sometimes :mad:
 
yeah, I went down by 21 points. If he kicked it (or any of the others) I would have got up. Had money on doggies too >_<

his cheap as piss and scores 100+ what more you want from him?

find someone else on your team to blame who struggled to make 50 :)

Yeah I agree, he scored 104 for crying out loud. I wouldn't be blaming him for your loss.
 
How many points would he have scored if he kicked the winning goal after the siren.

70, 80, 100, 100+

there is no proof that scoring a goal after the siren, or in the last few minutes gives you extra points.. other wise it would be in the points scoring system on the supercoach website.

Yes there is.. how do you explain say Bj scoring a goal to win the match and getting 80 etra points. What about Wonaemiri scoring 2 goals to put Melbourne ahead and going from 60 odd to 150?

And I'm pretty sure they have said it somewhere that they reward game changing plays..such as kicking the winning goal

never new they reward game changing plays,

well i guess it might be one to email supercoach and ask..
 
I'll answer my own question after some thinking and say he would of got 80+ easy for a winning goal, after the siren had sounded.

And they do reward more for game changing plays, I remember hearing it somewhere as well. :thumbsu:
 
you would have expected BJ to move to about 200 if he kicked it.

I dont think they like to acknowledge that this occurs, because every play is determned to have a different value as such. Im pretty sure the Mark by Barry in the 2005 final would be worth more than a goal to win a HA match. But you cant be sure. I think they just make it known that a game changing play has bonus points associated with the situation in which it occurs

Its not like they have statisticians watching the play and talking about, deciding "hmm lets award that play 67 ranking points".

There must be some blanket rules that categorize them as such:

Goal scored giving team the lead inside last 1:00 = 30 points pending loss/60 points pending win
Behind scored giving team the lead within last 1:00 = 20 points pending loss/40 points pending win

Goal scored giving team the lead inside last 0:30 = 40 points pending loss/80 points pending win
Behind scored giving team the lead inside last 0:30 = 30 points pending loss/60 points pending win.

etc.
etc.
 
i remember reading a quote from one of the people at champion data (posted on bigfooty, i haven't verified it) in regards to this. they said they give triple points for game-winning efforts, so if a player takes a contested mark on the siren and wins the game with a goal then whatever points he would usually score in that play would be tripled. assumedly they could also triple the points for a game winning pass or tackle leading up to that play as well.

in addition, from what i gather it doesn't even have to be game-winning to be multiplied. Ablett must have scored a lot of multiples in his big 250 game, a lot of his possies were late in the game and decisive but there was no single game winning effort that won them the game.
 
It was a hard kick for me...

If he kicks it i win my super coach.

If he kicks it my roos loose their game.

I was happy he missed it in the end ;)

Watching your team win >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> victory in SC.

Having said that i am an Essendon supporter so every win is like gold!
 
I cant believe anyone who would put SC points over the team you claim to support win. Anyone who does this should stop following any team.

I agree. Why can't he score 100. He has so many clangers. I rekon 2 of the 4 quarters from every game he scores below 5 and the other 2 he scores respectably.

On Brad Johnson. Does anybody know or have a good idea of what Johnnos end score would have been. I wouldn't have been surprised if it took him up to about 140 odd.

Like i said i'm glad he missed the shot even though it cost me 4 points in SC

Much prefer the roos to get up :)
 
From Champion Data website:

"There are a total of 57 individual statistics categories where the computer attributes either a positive or negative value. Given the unique intellectual property contained in the rankings formula and the degree of underlying computer logic applied, Champion Data does not publish the full rankings formula." :eek:

Clearly Champion Data's application of what they call 'Game Breaking statistics' and 'Posession Type' etc will have a significant impact on scores.

As we only get formally informed of some 19 odd statistics measurements I can say for sure that we will NEVER be given the formula for this calculation. :thumbsd: We will only be able to keep guessing based on what we have seen on Game Day Live etc.
