YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Was I ever so happy when I realised we had won the game where I was in the ground the tears of the old timers of joy.
And there was redemption for Sydney people waiting a hell of a long time putting up with jibes for “supporting that crap team in that code”.
This is for everybody, Blood or Sydneysider who saw us through the dark days of the early 90s, for anyone who attended one of those 25 losses in a row, who sat through the GF in 96, the prelim two years ago; this is a feeling we never thought we would experience.
I had that bad feeling when we went ten points down and the Eagles looked like they were going to run away it (I was going into depression).
I don’t recall the siren, just the feeling of realisation we had one coming off the back of pure dismay when the ball was heading in to the Eagles Forward line and there was not going to be time to get it back if they kicked a goal, relief at the mark, and than the pure joy.
What a feeling that was.
