That feels much better

Probably our most important win in Bomber Thompson's reign as coach.

Rightly or wrongly, we've copped a flogging for our performances over the past 4 weeks, and it would have been 100 times worse if we had lost it from that winning position.

Just heard them sing the song and it was the most gusto I've heard it sung with in a long, long time!

Good onya boys. Now I just have to wait for the 11:00pm replay  .

I am :D:D:D:Ded off, we were 29 points up, we had a chance to kick away, really put it out of reach. We let them back in and if Reiwoldt had kicked that goal it would be much better. The boys should be shot for resorting to chippy chippy football in the passage where they clawed back. Full games effort boys.

Let it go mate. It could have been much, much worse. The win was the most important thing. If we win next week we're suddenly 4-4 and right in the mix.
You can't let it go after 4 bad losses playing bad footy.

And i was one of the few last week who said all was not lost. I know a win is a win, 4 points, etc, etc but we should have put them away, we played the rivalry, not the game.

I don't want this to become the norm for us, half hearted efforts.

sorry buddy but you have to let it go. if you said before the game that we'd win you'd take it with a smile from ear to ear. we needed a win badly tonight and we got it. we were never going to blow them out of the park, our form hasn't been good enough to warrant that. who knows now though mate, a win against the pies next week and we go 4-4, things start to look ok then. once the confidence is fully back within the playing group it is at that point when I will be disappointed if they don't put sides away.

This could well kickstart our season. Win next week, though. We MUST win next week. Then we have the Tigers and the Bombers and those are games we should win if we run into some form. I'm not getting ahead of myself yet, though. That would be a bad idea.

Oh god yes...thoroughly enjoyed this match...despite the expected heart attacks with some of our decision making. Hopefully we can build on this.

Not pretty, but a win in the end. And in even better news I tipped them by 21, while most other people in the tipping comp jumped off them this week.

Just a relief to win. Tipped against the Cats for the first time this year.
Something to build on.

Worst supporter ever ablettallica, in 35 years as a cats supporter through thick and thin I have never tipped against the mighty catters. Yes it was an ordinary looking game of football but a win is a win.

You don't understand - we won BECAUSE I tipped against them - it's footy Karma

It is not footy Karma it is being weak as :D:D:D:D as a Geelong supporter.

Eh i tip against Geelong at times (like when we were doing really badly) but even i knew we would beat St.Kilda tonight. Anybody studying Geelong at all would know we were going to come out a different team tonight.

This wasn't a game for building percentage - it was about getting four point however possible, it was about starting to build confidence, it was about getting a full game under the belt of some underdone players, it was about getting the spark back, about getting set up to go forward in a very long season. This just the result we needed.

And to all the "sack-the-coach" idiots - still think that way? Just interested.

I sense negative energy - you need to get your chakras re-aligned.....

Have you been tipping Geelong very long?

There is a complete branch of science dedicated to the karmic power of the tip-against-your-team-at-the-right-time-when-we-are-losing.

Is that the same as having a :D:D:D:D. I will as a cats supporter never tip against them. at the watercooler at work i may waver and suggest they might have an up hill battle nut will never concede defeat. I will also stay to the final siren when we are flogged...
