I don't G.A.F.F. that we beat Hawthorn. It's next week that matters.

Your really confident but brisbane are the best side regardless?

I dont know how to compute this.
I think that, on any random given day, at any random given location, in 2025, Brisbane are a better side.

However, they are pretty banged up, we are playing in our home state, we've just absolutely belted them, and we are absolutely humming, with a full list to choose from bar Stewart, maybe Stanley, and arguably Guthrie and Kolo. Hence, us.

I’m guessing(hoping?) he already had plans B and C in the works, but didn’t need to use them in that first final.
The Geelong coaching staff seems to have practiced just about every change on earth throughout the season short of gluing Miers onto Stengle and sending that into the ruck.

Not sure what you’re saying.
Pity you just make statements and don’t back up with logical argument.
My post is mainly straight forward with stats and some subjective matter as well.
If you don’t understand my logic I can’t help you.
If you can’t make your own argument I can’t help you.
I look for positivity in this team after what they have achieved this century.
Simple really

There was no next week if we didnt beat hawthorn.

There is no enjoyment in football if you only wait until after a flag is won.

Think about it
Too right!. We can only cross each bridge as we come to it. As we cross it is a good thing to look back the way we came as well as forward to where we are going.

Completely true.

Imagine being a StKilda, Essendon or Carlton fan, while maintaining that you only enjoy football when a flag is won. You'd spend a long, long time angry.

One of the really nice and unexpected things about the 2009 flag is that it allowed me to start just enjoying AFL footy for its own sakes, not just premiership-or-bust. I'd say that now I'm perhaps not as desperate in my footy following, but I enjoy it more.

That said, this could just be because I'm more mellow than I was in my 20s.
