Ryder, Patrick - brilliant year i think more a key back than a ruckman at this stage
Slattery, Henry
Stanton, Brent
Watson, Jobe - play him in the middle all day and encourage him to kick even if he butchers it will pay dividended when we are in contention to play top end finals

Ramanauskas, Adam - need to play footy now go rama
Reimers, Kyle - watched him trained look good
Ryder, Patrick - needs to back up 07 and do more
Slattery, Henry - drop him
Stanton, Brent - star
Watson, Jobe - need to NOT TURN THE BALL OVER if he can keep the ball he be a star
Welsh, Andrew - allways looks good
Winderlich, Jason - bit over rated not that good

Davey, Alwyn- At 23 he stepped right into AFL and looked as if he had been in the business for years. Hope we can see him play more midfield but is just at home in the forward line.
Dempsey, Courtenay-One word, POTENTIAL.
Dyson, Ricky
Fletcher, Dustin
Gumbleton, Scott
Hille, David
Hislop, Tom
Hocking, Heath-Looks like we have a handy midfielder on our hands. We all know that he can get a heap of the ball and that he has a great engine, but there are some questions over his pace.
Houli, Bachar -
Jetta, Leroy
Johns, Courtney - Not confident on him but Knights has shown confidence in him and lets hope he can find some mobility.
Johnson, Jason
Laycock, Jason -
Lee, Andrew
Lloyd, Matthew
Lonergan, Sam
Lovett, Andrew-I feel that he is going to explode next season. Finished in good form and is as the right age to be playing some good footy. Could prove to be a real damaging midfielder with his pace to burn and accurate kicking for goal. Will be lethal on turnovers for usLovett-Murray, Nathan
Lucas, Scott
McPhee, Adam-Needs to step up or else. Had an up and down year and hopefully he can re-capture his great form on the HFF and wing. One of our senior players who can be excellent when in good form
McVeigh, Mark -
Michael, Mal
Monfries, Angus - More midfield for him and i reckon we'll see the best in him. Lots of critizism on him but he is still only 20. Still averaged 15 posessions playing mainly as a FP which isnt bad. Got courage, good skills and knows where the goals are
Nash, Jay-Love his run and skills off half back. Will eventully move into the middle as he is also hard at the footy and can tackle well.
Neagle, Jay
Peverill, Damien
Ramanauskas, Adam
Reimers, Kyle
Ryder, Patrick-Future star on our hands!
Slattery, Henry
Stanton, Brent-Could prove to become an elite player and at 21, has moved into the top bracket of midfielders. Skills are better than a lot of people think, and hes not afraid to pump the ball long into the forward line
Watson, Jobe- Really like his clearence work and creativity in the middle with his hand-passes. Dont think he is confident when kicking and same goes with his set-shots (horrible). I'd tell him to just focus on his fitness and running as it is his major downside. Know hes been working on kicking which is good and he looks slimmer than last year which is also a good sign. Could be a great year for Jobe.
Welsh, Andrew
Winderlich, Jason -

Davey, Alwyn - Fantastic 1st year, needs to follow up
Dempsey, Courtenay- Hopefully stays fit, could add a lot.
Dyson, Ricky - Hoping he finds confidence, he has talent
Fletcher, Dustin- Legend of Essendon
Gumbleton, Scott - Super talent, needs time. I feel people may expect to much to early.
Hille, David- Needs to learn how to play good games while sharing the ruck
Hislop, Tom- Adds a lot of grunt if fit.
Hocking, Heath- I would like to see him make it. Hard worker and knows how to play
Houli, Bachar - He has some aspects he can improve, but works very hard. Should be an improver in 08
Jetta, Leroy- I think he has the talent to be one of our best. Needs to keep working hard. His finishing skills are needed for us.
Johns, Courtney - 50/50, I have seen him kick a bag of 8 in the VFL and look awesome. I think he has it in him to make it, needs to find his place.
Johnson, Jason- Hopefully leads by example for the younger midfielders coming through.
Laycock, Jason - Needs to get that big engine. His got stacks of talent, just needs to be able to work his way into games and work in tandem with Hille
Lee, Andrew- I thought in 06 he would be a good player. Hopefully his pre season has put him back on track.
Lloyd, Matthew- Need to see the Lloyd of the past.
Lonergan, Sam- Like Hislop is a hard nut and a pure footballer. Should get some games if he is fit.
Lovett, Andrew- Has the ability to cut sides up, i would like to see it more often.
Lovett-Murray- Needs to get back to his best or he might be passed by others coming through who play half back.
McPhee, Adam- McPhee 2004 would be nice.
McVeigh, Mark - Leads by example. Love his hardness and leadership.
Michael, Mal- Helps out young back men.
Monfries, Angus - Midfield year for Gus could show why he was a favorite early on.
Nash, Jay- One of the better foot users in the side. We need his run and drive. create with disposal.
Neagle, Jay- Club rate him highly. I have seen him kick goals on MM and do well in patches. Needs to stay fit and be consistent.
Peverill, Damien- Maybe there this year for depth.
Ramanauskas, Adam - inspirational who cares what he does on the field
Reimers, Kyle- Loved some of his work in the VFL. Needs to keep building his motor up.
Ryder, Patrick - Could be our future superstar. Hope he carries on with his development and continues to lift his intensity.
Slattery, Henry- Hard nut, will wear the colours proud.
Stanton, Brent- Getting #5 adds pressure. Has apparently been working harder than ever so thats a good sign.
Watson, Jobe - I really like Jobe. Is one of our more creative guys with more time on his hands than others. Kicking was improved in 07 but lifting it again wouldn't hurt. He could break out again in 08 as it sounds his worked his arse off.
Welsh, Andrew- A solid player who is versatile. I like him on the half forward line minding the oppositions running defender.
Winderlich, Jason - We missed his run when he was out. His a nice kick and like Dempsey can break the lines. Hopefully lifts a gear again.

Davey, Alwyn - In half a season he has a highlight tape better then some players whole career. Really hurt when we weren't on the paddock.
Dempsey, Courtney - Has huge potential. I'm hoping he will overcome his hamstring problems, but I have a feeling they'll plague him for a little longer.
Dyson, Ricky - Showed a few glimpses of the silky smooth skills he's capable of. Unfortunately this is tappered with long periods of doing little. Hopefully he can step up like Stanton and even Winderlich has.
Fletcher, Dustin - Indespensible in the back line. Hopefully can stay out of the tribunal.
Gumbleton, Scott - Will play some seniors, but I feel he's a year off really showing what he can do. Continues to develop, but should become a good player.
Hille, David - I think he'll probably have a similar season to 2007.
Hislop, Tom - Hopefully can string together some injury free games, and get some momentum up.
Hocking, Heath - A lot of people talk him up, and at the very least had a good year at Bendigo. I'll wait and see.
Houli, Bachar - Hard to tell if this year, or next year will be his year. I think he'll make it.
Jetta, Leroy - Looks like he's putting some hard yards, and has the right mentality in the pre-season. Love him in tandam with Alwyn.
Johns, Courtney - Has slimmed up some, which should help with his mobility. I've always believed he's got more potential then most people give him credit for. Will get a similar number of games as last year, and will develop as a defender.
Johnson, Jason - Still has plenty to offer. I feel this year he might start to be overtaken by some of our up and coming players.
Laycock, Jason - I'm hoping this is the year he can take a step up, and perhaps become our #1 ruckman.
Lee, Andrew - Had a terrible season last year due to injury and so form. Hoping he can recapture the potential of his past.
Lloyd, Matthew - While he was a little quiet in 2007, he was always dangerous, especially in combination with Lucas. I think he'll have another good season and average 3 or 4 a game.
Lonergan, Sam -
Lovett, Andrew - Still yet to see him dominate like he did on ANZAC day a coupe of years ago. Hopefully he can turn it on again.
Lovett-Murray, Nathan
Lucas, Scott - I actually think he's potentially more dangerous then Lloyd is. Seems to be getting better with age.
McPhee, Adam - I'm hoping moving him to a more attacking position will help him capture some of his early career form.
McVeigh, Mark - Another player who seems to be getting better with age. I think he'll continue to be a very good player for us.
Michael, Mal - Was handy, especially in freeing up Fletcher.
Monfries, Angus - Had a fairly quiet year last year. I'm hoping things will turn around for him.
Nash, Jay - Love his hardness at the footy. I don't see that changing.
Neagle, Jay - Hopefully will get more senior games this season.
Peverill, Damien - A big possession winner last year, and I see a similar season for him this year.
Ramanauskas, Adam - With a pre-season under his belt he'll be better. Definitely handy to have a experienced midfielder with a bit of pace.
Reimers, Kyle
Ryder, Patrick - Had a great season last year, and exceeded my expectations. I also think he'll do a bit more ruck work this season.
Slattery, Henry
Stanton, Brent - Already a good player for us. Runs hard. Was missed when he was out, or was not 100%.
Watson, Jobe - Has been working hard on his disposal by foot. I believe he'll have a big year for us.
Welsh, Andrew -
Winderlich, Jason - His pace was always helpful. I think he's been improving with experience, and I hope this continues.

andrew lovvett -does he need to play more or be dropped cos his accuracy is like jason johnson

he has good pace but....right now thats about it for me......

what should we do with him:confused:

I think Lovett will be a vital player for us. Yes he has to improve on his engine and ground balls but when he gets the ball in his hands, anything can happen. He can burn off opposition and he also has great skills which is important when delivering to the forwards. He also had some off-field issues (not sure if it was 06 or 06 and 07) that i think hes over with now but if Lovett can play like he did in the last month, he could be a great player.

I think we might see a bit of Myers and Pears at some stage.
Well, basing it on Knights philosophy you might be right. Id love to see a bit of Myers in particular with all the talk of the next Pendlebury but id be more than happy if they could show they belong and dominate VFL level, bulding momentum and confidence whislt taking a futher step with skills, endurance etc. The key for them is to remain injury free and to get as much training and match time as possible

Few reports I've read of training seem to think he might be more in the midfield last year. Sparked us in a few games last year, I'm almost drooling at Davey, Lovett & WInders burning up and down the park
