Kudos to Griffen, Stants and Watson been brilliant from the very start.

Also kudos to Goddard, Mitchell, Murphy, Heppell and Scotland for your scores this weekend, bloody cant wait to get you into my team with my 510k sitting nice in the kitty.

Not many for me this week but KUDOS to Barlow (for finding some DT form after 2 quiet weeks) + Broughton & NRoo by tonning up, repaying the faith I showed in them to be premiums again this year. :thumbsu:

A lot of teams didn't start with Goddard. So far in the 2 weeks I have had him he has outscored Lake by around 90 points and will average 30-40ppg more over the course of the season. WIN as I made a correction instead of sitting on my hands waiting for Lake to score premo again and missing out on Goddard points.

:D:D:D:thumbsu:

Barlow will average 110+ this year. You'll see. He will drop 20k this week, but won't drop any further, in fact he should be over 500K sooner than you think. I was smart enough to get him in early, can expect premo scores for the rest of the year. Massive WIN!

:D:D:D:thumbsu:

Gibbs>Deledio is a smart move, Gibbs scored 18 points more this week so what? Deledio is averaging 110+ so far a must have.

You got one right, well done on your sideways premium trade.

You criticize some of my initial selections, but look in the mirror first you ****ing hypocrite! Spurr, Zorko, Hall Dickson 2 of them haven't even played yet, 1 has been dropped and the other is a shit rookie pick. :o:o:o:o:o It will take you 4 trades to fix all those **** ups

And i ended up keeping them all except Hall>Lycett to create FWD RUCK link with Roughhead. All rewarding me handsomely, loving Dickson's work the most though, tell me, how is Tom Couch working out for you, Kruz? :D:D:D:thumbsu:

Fail on top of fail, top shelf, Kudos to you, Kruz :thumbsu:

What are you crapping on about? I got all 3 right! :)

Season Averages

Goddard 95 v Lake 87
Deledio 115 v Gibbs 85
Barlow 86 (2 as sub) from 8 games v McDonald 91 (only played 4 games out of 8)

While I agree with you that the trades were not bad.

You need to factor in that you already took Lake's 29 and missed goddards round 1 score.

What are their averages not including round 1. I would say pretty close.

Reported.

While we're talking about petty arguments, what are your current thoughts on me trading in Sandilands a week before he returned? I believe you called it 'the worst thought out trade you'd ever seen', but making the trade when I did has turned out to have plenty of upside and zero downside.

I think somebody who just thought 'not playing this week is bad herp derp' and didn't bother to think any further about the trade making comments about how badly the person who actually a put a lot of thought into that trade and saw it all come off exactly as he planned thought things through was a little hypocritical :)

I have to agree with Cat on this one.

If you are only going for a league win then I suppose it was ok. You took a massive risk though, what if Sandilands was still missing for a few more rounds?

The guy I traded out for him was Mumford and I still had Jacobs and Giles in my side scoring fairly well, so as long as Sandilands got back in before Mumford did it was going to be a success. Doing it when I did has allowed me to upgrade other areas of my team a week earlier than I would've been able to if I'd held off on the trade.

Anyway, you can all agree with whoever you want, I took a calculated risk and it paid off exactly how I expected and wanted it to. Kudos to me for going against Bigfooty groupthink :thumbsu:

Yeah I'd have to agree with Cat an Pillager.

And James, don't kid yourself. Learn to admit mistakes...

No mistakes out of those 3 trades.

I'll ask you this, who would you rather have in your team from now to the end of the season?

Goddard or Lake?
Deledio or Gibbs?
Barlow or McDonald?

No mistakes there to admit to.

Having both Goddard and Lake would be more ideal.

Comparing Barlow to McDonald is like comparing apples to oranges. McDonald had a price tag of about 100k at the start of the year while Barlows was much higher.

Trading Lake to Goddard cost you about 240k?

Lake is now about the same price as Goddard. You lost a shit load of money on that trade.

McDonald to Barlow probably cost the same if not more? And how is that supposed 110+ average going James?

The only decent trade out of that lot was Gibbs to Deledio and that was probably just good fortune more than anything else.

Trying to disguise poor trading is poor form Jim.

Who is Jim?

Their current $ value is irrelevant. The money I spent for those trades is also irrelevant, as I started the season with almost 700k in the bank. Their overall total season points scored will determine if they were good or bad trades. So far I am way ahead. It's easy to say but...but...but Goddard is only 411k ATM and Lake 365k! Goddard will be closer to 500k by seasons end and Lake around his current value, maybe slightly higher (400k tops) is the reality.

As it stands

Goddard 95 Lake 87
Deledio 115 Gibbs 85
Barlow 86 McDonald 91

I'm much more confident of Goddard Deledio & Barlow all averaging 105+ for the remainder of the season than I am of Lake, Gibbs & McDonald all averaging 90+.

I will admit that Barlow was always a risk coming back from injury (but hey, lot's of other people also jumped onto him, albeit a week or two after I did) if he doesn't average 100+ from now until his bye, I can always trade him to Boyd for Rd12 with a single trade. I still feel he is quality though and will work his way into the season and put up some huge DT numbers sooner or later ...time will tell though.

You fail to see that the money could have been better spent somewhere else... Jim.

My username is James. Not Jim, which part of that do you have problems understanding? Seriously, you either have some sort of learning disorder or are just a childish troll.

Of course I could have spent the money better, MUCH better, Captain Hindsight! Gibbs>Stanton with a 1k profit would have been = 50ppg increase....not that I'm complaining about Lids...but still.

JPK & S Selwood (for similar prices as Barlow at the time) would also have been better upgrades for McDonald with the benefit of hindsight...if only I had yogi's crystal ball *sigh*

Rude, you're a rubbish try hard DTmer, always have been. You'll be out of trades by Rd 12 the way you're going and your benches are some of the worst cash cows I've seen this year. Will be lucky to finish top 50k.

PS Dees are worse that GWS LOL.

Not that great ATM, my missus is kicking your arse though. I may get to drive that FR after all LOL. :D

PS Tom Couch would be your teams second best midfielder (behind Magner) if he were playing. Tankers will tank though, I suppose. :o

We all f&%k up at times Jim and there are those of us that are willing to admit when we make a mistake and those of us that 'cannot handle the truth'. You screwed up, plain and simple. I would not have said anything at all if you had not tried to defend what most people would class as terrible trades.

In hindsight most of those trades were shocking, is that too hard to admit?

Until you can identify where you went wrong you will never become as good as Master Yogi and Sensei Pillager. Even that annoying little peon with a thousand different names has a more natural dt game than you.

They were all good trades. You're just being a dick for the sake of it. Sure I could have traded EVEN better than I did, but ALL of those 3 trades have benefited my team score wise, so I'm happy that I made them. :thumbsu:
(Ablett >Ziebell on the other hand....not so much for obvious reasons) :o

Post your starting team and list all of your trades so far for me to pick apart IF you have the balls, otherwise STFU & GTFO. :)
