End of the road for MetroStars in the quarter finals. Went on an away trip, Heidelberg 6-1 winners. A class team that showed their quality during the Australia Cup vs A-League sides.

Apparently they played almost 60 games in all comps in 2025 and went unbeaten at home.

Relief for me today as Hellas defeated NWS Spirit 2-0

It wasn't the best performance you will ever see as Spirit aimed to frustrate and their propensity to hit our players in the head was infuriating.

In saying that, the first goal by Lavale was some of the worst defending off a long throw you'll ever see (still trying to find the keeper from that) while the second goal by Mikkola had a bit of luck but was well deserved

Meanwhile the ref from today should NOT get a game next week as he had an absolute shocker today.

Definitely the best club this year to represent SA, was great to see them get past the group stage.
