The Apprentice 3

Gotta say that this season of Apprentice has been awful. I really don't think many of the final 6-8 are anywhere near worthy of running one of Trumps businesses. I liked the guy with the bowtie, but since he left, I reckon they're all a bit weak.

Never liked Tana, Craig or Kendra - Alex was okay, but he's no "Bill" from Season 1. In fact have any of them come close to being as good as Bill or Kwame from Season 1? I think not... bring on next season, if there is one! :)

I don't get it. I know Kendra isn't really attractive and she probably isn't the most personable individual, which is important in business management, but she's been a part of the last 9 winning teams, been the key factor in winning most of those tasks and she's hardly put a foot wrong for quite a while now.

Agreed, the other Apprentice hopefuls are disappointing, but I would think Kendra would stack up very favourably with any of the previous Apprentice winners.

Oh well, she'll probably lose now

terrible lot of contestants, and they did get rid of the worst ones early

they should bring back fired people from previous series for series 4, its clear that there aren't enough outstanding candidates out there to justify 18 totally new people

I don't like Kendra, she seems to undermine Craig a lot (maybe cause he's black), i hope Tana or Craig wins, but i liked Alex, Firing him because he couldn't remember a win/loss ratio is pretty poor.

I think people are cutting Craig a bit short here.

Kendra has some outstanding 'soft' skills. Her effort with the promotional item for the car was probably the best product ever made in any show of the apprentice in line with Kelly's Pepsi bottle last season. But I just don't see her leading from the front.

Tne thing I think Craig has is he has a finely tuned antennae to what people actually like to see, touch, etc.

Without creating it by hand, etc, he just has the vision to know what product is best.

His footlocker was the best example. Very simple product, but the part about the families building it, the kids putting hand prints on them, for the family to create a greater degree of ownership.

Kelly I thought last year was outstanding, leaving that Bill Rancic doormat from season 1 in his wake.

Craig has issues with expressing himself, but like last episode displayed, he even spelled it out for Kendra, she has great difficulty in actually hearing what he has to say.

Magna Corp has won 9 weeks in a row though because it had Craig and Kendra on the team, who I belive between them have the best skill sets to win tasks.

Don't know how you could come to that conclusion.

I'd say it has more to do with Craig's condescending, know-it-all attitude towards her.

Even when she shines - like with the car brochure.

Oh, and the fact that he's a complete duschbag.

Agreed.

However, while Craig has contributed in certain tasks (the box is definitely one and he also came up with the final design of the Staples product), on the whole, he has deferred to Kendra and Tana and played a smaller role, for whatever reason (one of which is his communication problem).

Though Craig actually tries to take his time and spell out certain things for Kendra, on most occasions it's jumbled and not entirely helpful to the cause.

But when he gets the opportunity to display his creative ideas in terms of design, he can be an asset. As you said, he is in-tune with the public, to a degree, and he probably relies less on the focus groups that Kendra and Tana utilize all the time.

Overall though, Kendra, together with Tana, have been the main force behind Magna Corp.

I'd be interested in a further description of these 'soft' skills though?

That Staples box was a disaster - who'd want that chunky thing sitting on their desk. It was as big as a desk.

She's hot in a chihuhua kind of way.

It did seem like the lesser of two evils....I had to laugh when Alex and Bren were convinced their product was brilliant and better than Magna Corp's, even after they'd comprehensively lost.

Hey, not sure if I saw the whole of the apprentice last night, could somebody please explain how it ended. I'm aware that Craig is gone and Kendra has this music company to run and I forgot what Tana's is.

Yeah, Craig the smarmy b@st@rd got his come-uppance.

Two teams full of loonies.

Kendra has to manage Danny, Erin and Michael...

While Tana has to contend with Brian, Chris and Kristen.

Already off to a shaky start and I get the feeling it's going to be a complete disaster.

I hope Tana wins, it's not looking good for Kendra.

So glad Craig is out (sorry, Creg if you are American....what is with that!!!). I don't agree that he was an asset, he came up with one good idea, but basically rode the coat-tails of everyone else. The way he always talked to Kendra was infuriating to watch, because in my view he was being totally condescending all of the time. He always dismissed everything she said because she was young - thinking that because he was older he knew best every single time....if people suggest Kendra was being racist towards Craig, then he was being ageist towards Kendra.

Don't really want Bette Midler (Tana) to win, she is scatter-brained at times, and did horribly on the T-Shirt task. Who the hell would value rhinestone's so much? Particularly when they are only glued on pieces of bead that she were only going to be marketed to the one gender. Bad idea from the outset, would have cost them the win even if Kendra hadn't thought of the brilliant idea of targeting the artist's fans.

Would like Kendra to win, although she is looking to be in a particularly precarious position with the task she has at the moment. If I was from Sony, I would not be happy with both the venue for starters (more suited to a dungeons and dragons type game by the look of the scungy nature of it), but moreover would not be happy that with 12hrs to go, the place where the consoles are setup looks dirty and obviously outdated. Kendra will need to weave some magic there.

Will be interesting to see who wins. Forgetting the outcome of this task for the moment, I think Tana may have a slight lead because Trump has seemed to gone against younger competitors in the past. But it all remains to be seen.

After last night, there must be no doubt that Kendra will win.

Tana just had no idea. The fact she thought she did a great job is even more disturbing.

Should be a pretty clear cut outcome next week.

How funny was the bit when Gov. Pataki's assistant told Tana that the Governor was here...

'Does he want a coffee and donut?'

Then...

'That's fine.'
'No it's not!'

Can't wait to hear what the respective team's have to say about their leader.

But you're right - it's a no-brainer.

Unfortunately last week I made the mistake of tuning in for some late night Leno one night, only to tune in when the Winner was being interviewed.

I still think this series has not had a very strong field compared to the previous ones.

IMO, Trump alters the game to who he wants to win. i.e, Tana may be too old and doesn't have the experience so he gave her the crappier team and the harder task.
Or maybe Kendra is actually good and Tana was bad on that particular task.

I think Tana is still in it, she definitely beat Kendra in the board room. I don't like Kendra, she's too immature and i hope Tana wins, she definitely deserves it.

You could not have possibly watched the same episode I did.

Because Kendra owned Tana.

Showed her up again.

Your kidding right?
Tana is in fairy land based on her summation of her task. She got smacked silly in the boardroom, and on the task. She has a bigger head than the Goodyear blimp.

The way she treated her employees alone, should be enough to ensure her loss, I guess we will find out this week.

I think she's still in it, Trump has liked Tana from Day 1. He's got a soft spot.

I think that episode showed the odds were so far in kendra's favour that if trump were to pick Tana he'd look like an absolute tool.

I'm not sure if it was just editing in a way to make Tana look absolutely useless or what but she looked horrid, I for one absolutely hated her by the end why Kendra was shown to be a competetant lil angel.

Kendra easily, if Tana wins the show is sure to of lost credibility.
