How I went is not important. It's the fact that I tried, and Chem is now over! :D

Nah, I reckon I could scrape a C, I actually did well on the multi choice for once, usually thats the hardest part. Short Answer was pretty bad, I had to make up a few things, oh well, hopefully I get method marks or something.

Pissed off cos there wasn't an extensive question on Rates, Equilibrium or my industial chemical, cos those were my 3 best areas...But no, there was plenty of Electrolysis and Galvanic and Fuel cells which I had no idea about.

The equivalent of A-level (I think - is that the highest?) Latin in England.

A level is the level pre-Uni yeah. How far are you along with it? Is it a religious school?, we had an option to do latin at the school i went to and that was a catholic school.
 
Anyone got any tips on how to treat blisters on your feet?

Should I pop em or not? Read conflicting reports on the net. I'm shattered cos I dont wanna be walkin around the city tomorrow night (haha we're goin to Chapel Street apparently) with ****in blisters. Would ruin the night a bit, till I get so drunk I can't feel it. :p

I'm at the highest possible pre-Uni level for Latin.:eek:

Yeah, it's a Jesuit (Catholic) school, and Latin is compulsory for year 7.

I can translate from the original Latin, and for our exam we have to analyse Latin poetry for rhetorical techniques (like alliteration) and themes.

It's very different subject to everything else. I do another language (Japanese) and it is completely different.
 
I learnt Indonesian for a couple years, got 100% in year 7 exam. But I had to give up too much to go on with it in year 9 and 10. So I changed my mind. Can still remember a few things, so I could count to 10 with this little balinese kid when we went rafting in Bali earlier this year. I reccomend everyone do it just so they may experience that one day. (Y)

Oh ****, don't pop it. Just calls for infection. I got about 5 or so on both feet because of new heels at work experience. Killed.

Best thing you can do is put some cotton woon with betadine on top and put a bandaid over it so you have a buffer against infection & popping.

Otherwise, wear thongs for a while.

Geography tomorrow. Me best subject. Then I'm outski!

I'll still cram, get in any last minute knowledge, plus extra bits to make sure I get full marks for most questions. Which is pretty much waht you need to get full marks for longer questions.

Too far back, but I asked before about Juddy getting captain. Thoughts? I play footy with him sometimes, and he's a great bloke. Didn't think he'd get captain though! :eek:

Soz, i'm not posting as regularly as I used to so yeah, I havn't read through the thread.

Its good actually, good bloke. I sort of expected him to get it, well I expected the captain and vice captain to be the other way around lol.

Clancy didn't get it I don't think. We voted for it today, I don't know about La Salle 'coz i'm in McCristal and I'm not even sure on who our captain is yet lol, but the word from the speeches is that it probably isn't him.

How many holidays do you have in a year? Seems like you have more..

We have;

Summer hols (3 weeks)

End of term hols (2 weeks)

End of term hols (2 weeks)

End of term hols (2 weeks)

Summer hols (3 weeks)

12 weeks holidays a year..

Had a look at the candidates, thought maybe Batten, Clancy and Nick would get it. But then I dont know the other guys that well.

Who went for McCristal?

I hope Ceebs and Morrison get Benilde, St Pat boys yeah (Y)
 
Summer = 4 weeks
Term 1 = 2 weeks
Term 2 = 2 weeks
Term 3 = 2 weeks
Summer = 4-5-6 weeks (depends on exams timetable)
Total = 14 weeks
Thats for year 11s and 12s, juniors have less.
