A step ahead of you.

Hawthorn
The writing is on the wall Catters - an 8 billion dollar loss for the year, they've shut down the factory in Geelong, stopped the very little sponsorship to Ford V8 Supercar teams - even forsaking their very own Dick Johnson and gun for hire Craig Lowndes.

If for some bizzare reason you think they can maintain the oldest relationship in sport - start your own thread.

Ford is in diabolical trouble - ****ed actually - and there is no doubt in my mind that the relationship between Geelong and Ford is doomed.

Who's up to filling the void?

I'm thinking the Malop St. milkbar @$2 per week is a show at the moment, but they might be saving their coins until they see how barren the market is.

Sponsorship or no sponsorship, they haven't and wont whore themselves out to Tasmania.

LOL, gold!!!

Im sure if Ford and Geelongs sponsorship ever finished, the way we are travelling there would be many companies ready to fill the void.

Lets just look forward to a great game tonight:thumbsu:

Just another flog diverting attention away from the Hawks impending loss tonight..
Mitchel is out if you didn't know already.

We shall see

When was the last time Geelong beat Hawthorn again?

Forget about history (I know it's all you guys have got:()

More important question is when will be beat you next?
Answer=tonight:)

Good to see Hawthorn fans are happy to play the "who beat who last" card as usual. You can win every year if you like, like say last season, where you beat us in Tassie but then went onto lose to the worst ever finals team of god knows how long in a Semi where your club was a disgrace.

But by all means be proud, you were one of few teams to beat the eventual premiers... i guess thats something to hang your hat on... right? Right?

Ahh the Hawks, aiming high. :thumbsu:

Yes, they love to play that card.........but get very upset for some reason, should North fans do the same. :D

Oh dear. :o

Embarrassing thread on an embarrassing day for the Hawthorn Football Club.

Keeping with the theme eh whatthef---amitalkingabout?
An embarrassing day?

How so?

Jeff is out there talking up his chances of becoming Lord Mayor. They are about to play before a full house at the G.

This is their chance to prove that they could / should / would have beaten Geelong last year, and should rightfully be the reigning premiers.

What could possibly go wrong? ;)

I agree there'll be nothing to be embarrassed about during the day...

Tonight however...

There's no doubting the huge leap forward by the Hawks, and there's better to come - but last year?

Geelong Cats. Their home ground is in.... Geelong.

That makes sense.

Now, where is the Hawthorn home ground?

We did beat Geelong last year, no cooda shoodas about it

that's an awful long way from:

StKilda beat Carlton in the home and away during '95 -that didn't put them closer to being premiers...

Just to clarify : there was an element of sarcasm in my post, directed at those Hawks who actually believe they had a better team than Geelong last year. Like Hodgepodge, for instance. :)
