Most vicious feral fight / brawl between supporters I've ever seen was at the Junction oval around 1978. Port Melb vs Dandenong.
Pretty sure it was a GF and it was outside the ground along Fitzroy Street. Maybe 40 or 50 involved and at least 10 would have ended up in hospital.
I didn't go to the game, I was just walking past on my way to a mates place. It was both horrifying and compelling simultaneously.

Did you ever hear of the famous Essendon vs Richmond brawl at windy hill apparantly it was a bloodbath, cops got involved, horses, trainers the lot. Who do you think started it all Mal the Boofhead Brown.

Yep I remember. Legendary. I should have added to the above that it occurred after the game and all involved were paralytic.
No cops showed up - they sorted it out among themselves. Port won the fight. Not sure who won the game ?

I think port did, i've see bits and pieces of that brawl on youtube a while back.
