Would it be wrong to reword the Creed to read as an Individual insperational peice and have it Tattooed on my body? I am thinking high on my left side ribs.
Currently the Creed reads:
Finally we concede there can be honnour in defeat, but to each of us, honnourable defeat can only come after every human endevour is compleetly exhausted.
What I want Tattooed reads:
We accept the history and heritage which has been passed down to us. We do not intend to rest in idleness but shall strive with all our power to further this life's unexcelled achievements.
To do this we believe there is great merit and noble achievement in success.
To be successful, each of us must be active, aggressive and devoted to find improvement within ourselves.
We agree that success is well within our reach and have confidence that each individual will suffer personal sacrifices to achieve success.
Also we know that should we, after striving to our utmost and giving our everything, still not be successful, our efforts will become a further part of our legacy.
Finally we concede there can be honnour in defeat, but to each of us, honnourable defeat can only come after every human endevour is compleetly exhausted.
So my interpretation of the Individualised creed is:
We take on board what our Fathers and Grandfathers have been through and apriciate the sacrifices they survived for us to live the life we have today. We need to continue the work they started and continue to move forward to a greater place.
To do this we believe there is glory and pride found in success.
Success is only found by those whom seek improvement within themself.
Every individual is capable of reaching Success, it will not be easy and saccrifices will need to be made, but if we have the confidence to seek succes it is there for all to take.
We are judged and remembered, when we are gone, not by what we said but rather what we have done and achieved.
The war is never won or lost on one battle, Honnourable Defeat can only be Honourable if every Human endevour is completely exhausted.
Guys is Fos' creed not to be touched? Is it a good idea? Is the Grammar and Punctuation correct? does it read well? could someone please give me some feedback please.
Currently the Creed reads:
We the players and management of the Port Adelaide Football Club accept the heritage which players and administrators have passed down to us; in so doing we do not intend to rest in idleness but shall strive with all our power to further this club's unexcelled achievements.
To do this we believe there is great merit and noble achievements in winning a premiership.
To be successful, each of us must be active, aggressive and devoted to this cause.
We agree that success is well within our reach and have confidence that each member of both the team and management will suffer personal sacrifices for the common end.
Also we know that should we, after striving to our utmost and giving our everything, still not be successful, our efforts will become a further part of this club's enviable tradition.
