Is this the greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world at the moment. Or an elaborate joke band?

I'm heavily on the side of it being the greatest. Listen to the single "Growing on Me" and "I believe in a thing called love" and track 9 on the album "Love on the rocks with no ice". Just brilliant.

Actually the whole album is just pure unadulterated rock 'n' roll.

Any band that has the lyrics "get your hands off my wife motherf***a" sung in I high pitched rock squeal is ok by me.

The big day out has just sold one more ticket with the announcement of them playing.

Remember get into The Darkness, you'll poorer for it if you don't

Check them out if you get the chance. I can't speak of the album highly enough.

Just listen to the song "Friday Night" and it will be enough.

I usually like a lot of stuff and will say give it a listen but I am genuinly excited by this band.

It's what rock and roll is all about originally isn't. The opposite sex and having a good time

1 part t-rex,

1 part any hair bands of the 80's (nod to Whitesnake here)

1 part queen,

1 part AC/DC (first song on the album)

Add guitar solos ahoy and you have the darkness.
Also the lead singer has a penchant for spandex, worrisome but when you play rock like this who cares.

The album is awesome!

Went into Virgin Megastore and out on the headphones because I heard a rumour the may be playing BDO.

Anyway, Black Shuck starts absolutely banging. I'm nearly playing air guitar in public....No need to listen anymore, fork over the $25 and get back to work and put it in the Cd player. Just sensational!

Had to take it out to put the new Muse in!

This thread seems like an appropriate place to plug another talented dirty rock band: Babylon Whores. They're bordering on metal, due to their darker moods, but these guys are fantastic. They've been one of my favourite bands for a very long time.

A mate lent me his Darkness CD...funniest thing ive heard for ages!!

Seen the video clip for "Growing On Me"? Totally random ****... lead singer likes to hang his **** out, and load up rooms full of amps.

Can't tell if they're serious or not, who cares really, still a wicked listen.

BDO lineup looking pretty good...


PS. mate reckons a bit of a Nirvana riff on one of the tracks (2 or 4, can't remember which)
