Little has been said about the return of Foley, maybe because we all knew what he was capable of and how good he was.
I was really concerned that he may never be the player that he once was but evry week these fears are allayed even further.
His return and subsequent impact should not be underestimated :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Nowhere near back to his best but every week he shows a little something of his old form, whether it be the 40 touches he delivered a while back, or a lightning burst through the middle of the ground just when you think he's lost his pace.

Showing more and more of the Foley of old. That clearance early in the first where he burst from the pack off the wing was classic Foley.

Will be scary if he gets to his 07-08 form.

He has been showing signs of his old form in patches. Sometimes he looks slow but dominates the inside footy. Other times he goes missing with the contested footy but has a couple of good runs through the middle. Aside from the match he was sick and got subbed, he has been good in every match but in different ways. If he pulls it all together one week, watch out.

Keep in mind at his best he received a hard tag almost every week and beat it almost every week. Unfortunately without much support he wore out. Now, he has three elite midfielders (cotch, martin, lids) to take the heat off I wouldn't be surprised if he hits career best form.

Loving seeing him up and going again, I had forgotten how good he was in 2008. Even if he doesn't recapture that form, I'm just thrilled for the bloke that he's playing again.

Keep in mind that he was nursed through the pre-season. If he has a full off season this year, look out 2012.

I have never seen him play until this year and he is a superstar with him out for two years that is probly why we have been losing we need him while our team grows BIG TIME

cant quite remember but i think it was against the Bulldogs when he ran through the middle took a couple of bounces and then slotted it from 35m out brought back some good memories.

So nice having Foley as our 3rd or 4th best midfielder. Takes the pressure off him but also means he still can step it up without a tag.

Loving his return. Does some good inside work too.

i think he has been a little quiet the last 2 weeks (bar some junk time goals against dogs) and is probably getting a bit tired/sore- hasnt strung this many games together for a long time.

am expecting him to be even better after the break and continue improving. the more games he plays the better hope he can get back to that 07-08 form would be great.
