Fantasy Footy Notice Image Round 7
SuperCoach Rd 7 SC Talk - Trade Talk - Capt/VC ,//, AFL Fantasy Rd 7 AFF Talk - AF Trades - Capt/VC
Sad day. Wore his number 3 on my first South jumper. Wrote me a very nice letter when I was around 7/8. Not sure where that is now. Hope I can find it. For a short time, he had a milk bar in Albert or Middle Park. Went to its opening and got a free coke. Never forgot it.Very sad news with the passing of Brian McGowan number 3 who was 2nd rover to Skilts

Was thinking about how many talented players drafted by the Swans have been lost for various reasons to other clubs. Wondering if any other teams in the comp. can match it.
I'm no expert on other teams list so stand to be corrected but would be surprised if any other team has lost so many quality players in the last decade or so.
Premiership players at other clubs post Swans: Nank x 3, Cameron, Mitchell, Jetta, Rohan, Biggs
All Australians post Swans: Dawson x 2, Mitchell x 2, Aliir
75 plus games at other clubs post Swans: Dawson, Aliir, Mitchell, Nankervis, Membrey, Cameron, Jetta, Hewett, Rohan, Jones
Most recent 25 players to have been on the Swans list and subsequently played a senior game elsewhere. Will assume Hayward, Florent and Buller will all do so this season:
B: Biggs - Pink - Newman
HB: Florent - Aliir - Malceski
C: Jetta - Parker - Hannebery
HF: Hewett - Membrey - Jones
FF: Hayward - Cameron - Rohan
Foll: Nankervis - Dawson - Mitchell
I/C: Bird, Naismith, Stephens, Buller, Konstanty, Murray, Dick
Bit light on for quality and depth at key backs and key forwards but otherwise a lot of talent in their prime years. A subjective exercise but could any other team match that quality lost in the last decade? I'd guess not.
Of course, Suns and Giants for sure.Gold Coast and GWS would have us beat on stolen talent.
Brisbane got absolutely massacred by other clubs in the 2010's as well.

Wish he'd stayed a swan , great career

If you assume we're in a constant salary cap squeeze and fighting of Victoria interest and need to prune constantly...I'm ok with it? Maybe I've the drunk the Kool aid
Missed Dawson and Mumford the most
I miss Mumford the most. Loved big Mummy. If you assume we're in a constant salary cap squeeze and fighting of Victoria interest and need to prune constantly...I'm ok with it? Maybe I've the drunk the Kool aid

His 4 years with us were outstanding. Lost a fair bit of our hard edge when he left.I miss Mumford the most. Loved big Mummy.

Mumford a better player than Nankervis. Clearly.Mumford?
Yep,Mumford?
Mumford for sure another fave who went on to play quality football at another team. The team/list I chose just happened to arbitrarily be the 25 most recent for the sake of making up a team. He happened to leave just the year before the most recent 25 start.Mumford?
He wasn't drafted by the Swans.Mumford?
Nank plays in 16 GF we win , 3 time premiership player and club CaptainMumford a better player than Nankervis. Clearly.
Wherever the dollar trail leads him.Tom $ Mitchell playing a one off game for Rutherglen Cats this season so far , he will probably pop up at a couple of other places
They are having it when Corowa is having a bye , so expecting people to travel 8 k's , it's an ordinary comp compared to the Ovens & MurrayWherever the dollar trail leads him.
