Does anyone else out there worship the hot sauce god?

I'll share some of my favourites:

Tapatio Picante
Created in 1971, this should be a staple item in any fridge. Not too hot and good flavour with a fluid consistency.

El Yucateco (Verdi) Green Habanero Sauce: A super fresh flavour with a good kick, this can go on anything from sandwiches to pizza.

Byron Bay Chilli Co. Heavenly Habanero Chilli Sauce with Mango: This is a sweeter hot sauce with a nice burn like most Habaneros... Really good

Yeah that's the US one which is made by a Viet Yank? There's a Thai one which is available at most asian stores (probably taste the same nearly).

There's some bloke in Wagga Wagga who makes some nice sauces - can't recall the brand and CBF going to the kitchen to check.

Love hot/spicy food in general.

I'd be interested in posters describing how they use the hot sauces. i.e. As a condiment/accompinment to a food (what food) or as a base used in making a dish (what dish).... etc etc..

Blair's Mega Death Sauce - I'll admit this stuff it a bit too intense for me to have on top of food, but have mixed it in with spaghetti before which was pretty good. They make a whole range of ridiculously hot death sauces, chips etc.

Serious question, where does one get their hands on this kind of stuff. It doesn't seem to be readily available in supermarkets.

The odd Woolworths has a good range but there are a few Australian websites that are dedicated to hot sauces.

http://chilemojo.com.au/ is a good one

Gday guys and gals.. it's amazing what you come across when doing a search on your own business.. Hot sauce and wagga Wagga and this is where it took me. That bloke would be me :) check out our stuff at Crowley's Hot Sauce (not sure if I can add a link but it's .com.au anyway) Check us out, let us know. also on Facebook /CrowleysHotSauce Thanks for mentioning us..

This thread needs more action with recipes and the like.

I believe I have worked up something not good where if a meal is not spicy hot it bores me.

I don't think this would be common but for some reason though I have very little tolerance to spicy dishes that are liquid, like soups etc.

I like Cholula - Mexican spicy sauce and good for some marinades as well. Not sure if available in Oz.
It is. It was my first entry into the hot sauce market. Good for dipping but I find it goes missing in marinades, not unlike how Jobe Watson goes missing in finals.

I know this is a sauce thread but does anyone know where you can buy Habenero and Scotch Bonnett pods?

Went to queen vic and they had the basic Cayenne, Jalepeno, and Birds Eye chilli's
www.chilliseedbank.com.au

Not sure how good they are or anything, but I was doing a bit of research into it for my new garden and came across this.

Nice. You'll have to let me know how quick the turnaround is.

Have you ever tried any of the chocolate/black peppers? If so, is there much of a taste difference, or is it purely a colour thing?

not that far in to my chilli experience but I will definitely get back to you
