The Huddle

Among all the woes going on with our beloved team I have a more left wing quandry. I have noted this season before the start of the game, and then after half time when the team gather for a huddle they aren't all in right up close smelling each others sweaty arm pits. Rather they are standing in a 'large' circle arms around one another and the circumfrence of this circle is paddock like due to the 18 players forming this. (inclusive of Sandi's massive arm span)

I have noted some exaples below for your consideration.
I cant seem to find a pic of Freo's new huddle (if i do i will post) but in days gone by we did have a 'tight' ish huddle as below:

Now Im not saying we should have our boys in there feelin each other up, but i do know that getting in close like that reves people up, gets the fire going and that thing called PASSION springs to mind.
I also realise that this huddle thing is the least of our teams worries, but i just think its time the team got WAYYY back to basics.
Freo need to start looking each other in the eye and asking questions of one another.
Time to get the up close and personal huddle happening down Freo way! ( I know i know you're all saying Sam has lost it )

Sam,you were obviously there yesterday and it wasnt only the huddle but the pre game warm up was horrible and I was sitting behind our dugout and there was no talking,geeing up or camaraderie,nothing just blank stares and silence and looking they wanted to be somewhere else
Like I said in another post they ere playing like they know they cant make the finals and after 4 games in it makes for a long shitty season

Never understood these huddles, surely everything that needs saying is said inside the rooms. Maybe it is all forgotten and needs repeating, not a bad theory considering they seems to forget whatever was said once the umpire bounces the ball.

It's nothing about match instructions, it's about team work. It's about revving each other up.

Salim, yeah I was there also.
I was in the cheer squad and even the cheer squad was giving it to the players. Infact I'd hazzard to say there was more PASSION in the cheer squad then what the players didplayed during the warm up and game.
Now the cheer squad wasnt abusing our players just asking for effort.

It is about revving one another up and eye balling one another being honest and showing a commitment to the jumper to the club and to one another.
