For those that didn't see it the players had to all touch a sign that simply said HURT above the exit from the rooms before they ran out against Port Adelaide. It was on the Footy show last night. The sign was about 20 cm high and 30 cm wide.

Firstly it looked like a pre-school kid had made it in art- Black cardboard with big yellow letters. Secondly the players looked embarrassed to touch it. Lastly what the hell was it for?

If thats the motivation Plough is implementing, we are in some trouble. Is anyone starting to think that we've been taken for a ride and that Wallace is all tip and no iceberg? Talks the talk, but doesnt walk it. Dunno, I'm just thinking out loud. I really felt sorry for the boys. Can Wallace relate to these kids at all. Get them excited about playing for the great Richmond Tigers, about playing league footy and living their dream.

Can anyone remember the last time our boys looked like they wanted to be out there and actually enjoyed playing? Keep all the kids in the side and let them go out and learn and enjoy it. Cleve gets dropped this week! What the? Hows is he supposed to develop confidence? Keep him in so he learns all about the game even the bad and tough days.

Ended up a bit of a rant. Frustrated and that bloody HURT poster just tipped me over the egde.

looked to me to be like it was made for tv. something Greg Miller would come up with......

Not this season, right from the start. Whether we've been in front during a game or not there haven't been too many happy faces out there. This group doesn't seem to be gelling at all.

Yes, something's up. I personally feel like they play like they're on death row. Like they know they're going nowhere, waiting to be dropped or delisted. Why bother when it will amount to nothing mentality. How can we build confidence and spirit like the Kangaroos? We need leaders to lead like Archer, Simpson, Grant etc. Make weak efforts unacceptable. Not just to front up to gimmicks by Wallace. As much as I admire Bowden, Johnson, and Richo they are just not leaders in my opinion. We desperatley need to nurture the leadership skills of Newman and Deledio. Are Miller and Wallace the men to do it? I doubt it. Footy leadership is the realm of hard men- Leigh Matthews, Voss, Terry Daniher, Archer, Carey, Paul Kelly, Worsfold etc. Not solarium baked media whores like Plough.

That Hurt Poster was just a joke! the fact that they have made an issue of it as well just shows what the media think about this current group. Can someone please tell me who the 3 hardest men at Richmond are at the moment? The ones that really will bleed for his teamates and the jumper.. and punch the turf at the end of the game when we come up short...

It wasn't so much the poster that got to me, I think it was fine on the wall there. But having the players touch it as if to give them "super powers" was ultra-lame and cringeworthy stuff at its finest. :o

just to let use all no

the POSTER wasnt put there just for the port game

its been there many times

the media is just stupid and decided to show it this week

as if its the first time its been there

they have the same thing in the rooms at the G

Remember the GF between Port and Bris? Remember that prick Hardwick and the tone he set for the rest of the game for his club?

Remember when Maxwell shirtfronted Darren Jarman in the preseason comp? The tone it set that night? We beat Hawthorn for the first time in a decade?

We need two or three of these guys - with some experience. Every serious contender for the premiership contains a couple.

Guerra may be inconsistent but there's a reason why he has the highest winning percentage of any player in the AFL.

Why isn't Hardigan being groomed for the job?

Totaly agree, every great team has an absoluter, tough as nails ****. We need sombody like the Scott bros

Maybe the team is misinterpreting the sign.

It's clearly meant to mean "Hurt the opposition. A lot." and the players think it means "Get hurt on the scoreboard".
