The Killers Live

I know that the killers aren't everyone's cup of tea but I saw them for their Melbourne side-show gig at the Palace last night and they were fantastic!

The music was very tight and they played most of their best (and older) songs which really got the crowd involved. Although previously I thought Brandon Flowers came across as a bit of a knob, he is a great front man and it was fantastic to hear a voice that sounds just as powerful live as it does on their records.

Anyone who is going to the BDO should definitely make an effort to get in a good position to see them. Did anyone else on here go last night or have seen them recently?

Not born again, always a Mormon, but he doesn't preach, at all. He's an incredible front man, playful, engaging and very passionate - most importantly, they arguably sound better live than on record; a rarity these days.

I was about six rows from the front, the crowd around me was amazing, singing along with very song.

One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Davo - I'm going here on Friday, specifically to see them; mate who went to Sydney BDO said they were 'perfect.'

One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

That is what impressed me the most, they sounded so good live, it was unreal. The fact that nearly everyone in the place knew just about every song and the way the Flowers interacted made it even better.

So was I, although pretty cool I paid to hear Brandon Flowers and co not 1,500 randoms! Apart from that it was great though and the crowd participation at certain parts made it better.

In all seriousness, saw them in 07. They were brilliant and I was about 5-7 rows from the front in the pit. Epic times. Look forward to seeing them at BDO

Runaways is straight out of the 80's. Shows there's still some good bands writing genuinely good songs that will likely still be listened to in years to come.

Nice. Reminded me of this from another international band last year. Always good when they play the Aussie card.
