I know it doesn't look good the way that things were done but the way I read it, the board tried to handle things professionally by arranging to talk to Miller face to face but for some reason the info became public before that could be done. Hardly their fault if someone at the club thought leaking this to the papers was better than letting the board announce their decision in their own time.

Yep - this was being done the right way at the right time until the leak occurred. Find out who the leak is and vent the wrath there - and full on because whoever it was doesn't deserve to be a tiger if they have to fulfil their own desires to see their effects go public like this. Very small minded.

Moving Miller on is a good thing. I work in industry where we come in and fix up old "dogs" that have been run into the ground. You bring in your hit team and people that can work on a shoe string, get them to get it up and running and when they've burnt out reward them and put them out to pasture till the next job. Then get in the new team with fresh approach to keep the good work going. This is what I read as March and the board have done.

Miller has done his job and it is time for the next team to work through the next phase. Good corporate governance.

i disagree with you all, the timing of this was wrong ....which other club conducts assessment reviews during the season? NONE! ...and to decide DURING the week in the lead up to our biggest game for yrs that your about to sack a key administrator is just illogical and borderline negligent.

Wasn't it the president of tim watsons ex club who said peverill and johnson won't play again this year and effectively sacked them? I notice peverill's been playing the last few weeks.

All clubs leak. Miller has been good for us but he's also made some monumental stuff ups at the recruiting table. It was caseys fault for cutting corners and giving him unprecedented power.

What stuff ups? hindsight is a beautiful thing.... I dont see how taking Tambling a head of Franklin was a stuff up. The Bulldogs passed on Franklin and so did the Hawks. Buckenarra has said that Hawthorn were so confident we would have taken a Tall with our second pick that thats why they didn't take Tambling at 2, instead they took a huge risk leaving Tambling still in the draft hoping we would take Buddy. When we jumped and took Tambling Hawthorn were so confused that they took extra time, and then proceeded to read out a different player called Franklin's registration number.

People will call me mad but I still prefer Tambling, and I'm still happy the club took the best 2 midfielders. Franklin is awesome, but we have had an awesome KP forward for 15 years...
