If you then combine that with dropping kicking and marking by 10, then it will be difficult too.

I'm not sure if that's the answer
I think the marking is pretty good where it is, besides most of my goals come from open play
Also remember I'm not trying to make it harder per say, just more realistic

If anything I might change the handball stat in a similar fashion to what I did with the speed stats
I am finding it to easy to make long handballs even with average players
For example, In the last game I played I made a 30 mtr handball to Buddy with Roughead while he was being tackled, which to me is what makes it to easy to find space.
Maybe if I was Judd or someone like that but definatly not Roughy

I can make a 30 metere handpass haha.

Thanks Ross means alot to know that you guys are watching.
I personaly enjoy the game more after my stat changes as I like a challenging game but at the same time I should be easily beating teams like Port and struggling against Collingwood.

It had gotten to the point where Legend was too easy and not really fun anymore. Just hold tackle until holding the ball or ball up, try win the tap and if not rinse and repeat.

Very happy to hear that I can play season mode after the patch

Will there be anything included in future patches to enable roster sharing?
I know this wont be possible in game but I'm sure there are people who would like to try these changes but don't have the time or patience to change it themselves

The main change I am very proud of are the goal kicking stats.
Goal kicking is alot more difficult now especialy from tight angles and I can now no longer kick running banana's from the boundry with every single player everytime.

As you can see from my recent game scores points kicked per game are now much more realistic before I was only kicking 2-5 per game.

Here is a recent game score
Thought I'd challenge myself and go Crows against Pies

10 min qtrs, Legend
Crows 18.10.118 Tackles 166-139
Pies 20.20.140

First half was close only a couple of points in it at half time
3rd quarter they kept possesion and capitalized on the scoreboard, exactly what I would expect crows v pies

I was very happy with this outcome, even though I lost, it was still very enjoyable
Tackles are still to high but again not sure what to change to fix this

Ross do you have any idea what I could change without impacting the scoreline too much?

The sharing won't happen for this patch and is much more likely to be done for the next game where there will be a lot of focus on sharing data (I can't say too much, need to keep some things under wraps.)

The problem with changing the attributes is that while they might mean closer games for some, for others they may cause blowouts based on the way they play. There are people that are still caught in a tackle fest and grind, they win, but I'm not sure it's fun. There are others that have learned how to make space and hit targets.

Very very happy with the results of my latest test even though I lost

Hawks(me) 8.3.51
Pies. 9.14.68
Tackles 97-77 inside 50 19-31

Pies dominated possession and I would not have got close if their goal kicking was accurate in the first half
It played out a bit like the pies/doggies game from yesterday
I kicked 5 goals to 2 in third, then kicked the first goal in the 4th to close the gap to 1 point. After that they took over
Will play a few more, same teams and see if I can get different results

Hawks v Pies take 2

This time I made my midfield Sammy,Rioli and Burgoyne and put Stratton on Blair

Hawks Pies
5.2.32 3.2.20
8.4.52 4.3.27
11.4.70 8.9.57
13.5.83 10.11.71

Tackles 75 - 93
Inside 50's 36 - 33

Scoreline not a great reflection of the game, the contests for the ball were tight and fiercly contested from start to finish
I got a couple of lucky breaks in the 2nd and even though the pies fought back hard, I managed to keep the lead

Having Rioli in the middle definatly helped

I was very pleased with this result as if the pies had of kicked straight at crucial times it would have been a different story
Everytime they kicked a point I seemed to respond with a goal
Definatly felt the momentium engine in this one

I think I'll play a few more hawks v pies and see what different results I get

I'm liking this lyncha... Give me two teams and some new player ratings and i'll test it for you(us).. i currently play on 5 min Legend and i'm start to cruise at this level, so i need a project while we have no PSN!!!

Tried taking Richmond's tackling stats down by 20 each, lost to Pies by 13 first up after being down 49-7. Then smashed Gold Coast 160-23 and Hawks 138-47 on Legend 5 minute quarters. Might need to edit something else too I'm thinking. Or maybe wait for the patch.

Here is what I've changed for all players

Tackling, goal kick, set shot & set shot banana -20
Goal kick banana -30
Break tackle +10

Sprint and acceleration change relative to players original stats
90+. No change
85-89. -2
80-84. -5
70-79. -10
60-69. -15
Lower then 60 -20

Played 2 more Hawks v Pies
1st game
Hawks Pies
0.1.1 2.2.14
5.3.33. 3.6.24
9.5.59. 4.7.31
11.9.75. 5.9.39
Tackles 74-82
Inside 50 33-27
Hitouts. 31-15

Defence was dominant. Gibbo shut down Cloke
I started poorly but got a bit of momentum going and then dominated

2nd game
Hawks Pies
4.1.25. 0.0.0
4.1.25. 2.4.16
6.3.39. 4.11.35
9.7.61. 7.11.53

Wow started well and thought I would smash em
Pies no score first qtr but then no score for me in the 2nd
Pies run rampant in the third but too inaccurate
Blair kicked 5 behinds alone in the 3rd
I have now bumped up his set shot stat a couple of points to 50
Last qtr was awesome goal for goal, I thought for a minute they might pinch it
But in the end their inaccuracy killed them

OK Lyncha i've gone for Carlton(Me) vs Sydney as they are always close games plus i'll play home and away test games and post some stats and any changes i make:)

Played 2 games Hawks v Cats with new tweaks
First game night and dry, 2nd one night and raining

Game 1
Hawks 6.5.41, 10.10.70, 14.11.95, 16.13.109
Cats 4.0.24, 7.0.42, 9.4.58, 11.5.71

Tackles 65-74 i50's 40-21 HO 22-19

Very free flowing game with a low tackle count
Cats kicked the first 3 of the game, then I responded and dominated

Game 2 (in the rain)
Hawks 3.0.18, 5.2.32, 7.3.45, 12.3.75
Cats 4.3.27, 5.8.38, 7.11.53, 8.12.60

Tackles 90-110 i50's 30-35 HO 21-12 D 134-134

Much tougher game in the wet, I struggled to keep up with them
Cats kicked the first goal in the last and I thought it was all over
Kicked a scrappy goal and then followed up with a quick one
after that it felt like they gave up
If they had of been accurate, they would have won

Okay, first game:

Melbourne 6.1.37, 11.3.69, 17.5.107, 23.6.144
Adelaide 2.1.13, 3.1.19, 4.1.25, 5.2.32

D 154-88 M 44-31 T 30-62 P% 43.2-30.6 HO 29-15 I50 36-19

Jurrah kicked 8, Bail probably had 10 inside 50s with his 18 disposals and 2 goals.

All I can say is I need to up the difficulty from Amateur.

Will give it another go.

Even though you dominated, how did you find the gameplay
And was that with all the stat changes

Re-did that game in the wet on Professional, still 5 minute quarters.

Melbourne 1.0.6, 3.5.23, 4.8.32, 7.12.54
Adelaide 2.4.16, 4.6.30, 5.9.39, 6.9.45

D 113-137 M 27-48 T 43-57 P% 27.3-41.6 HO 21-9 I50 31-21

After Davey snapped the first goal, the rest of the first quarter was played in Adelaide's forward half. Walker missed two set shots that should've been goals so the Dees were lucky to concede only a 10 point margin at quarter time. The rest of the game was a scrappy contest with the margin staying relatively the same. Petterd was Melbourne's main target, taking marks but failing to convert, kicking 1.3. Walker was similar, finishing with 4.3.

Melbourne played with more determination in the second half, winning more tackles and keeping the ball in their half of the ground, but Adelaide's consistency with hitting targets meant that they kept scoring with less inside 50s. An instant Adelaide goal in the last quarter almost sealed the game, but Melbourne kept coming. They kicked three behinds in a row, all from forward half turnovers, until Jack Watts finally converted from 40 metres out. Then came Sylvia. A harsh deliberate call from a kick in led to a shot from the boundary, which he nailed, straight through the middle to put Melbourne in front for the first time since early in the first quarter. Then he got on the end of a bombed clearance 70 out, sprinted to 50, touched the ball on the ground and sealed the game off from 40 metres out.

Absolutely epic game. Jurrah, Morton and Petterd kicked seven (?) behinds between them. Kicking's definitely harder from 50 out which is where Petterd took all his shots from.

Sylvia BOG.

Edit: Found both games much better, of course the tackling was naturally higher in the wet but the first game was just free flowing footy. I loved it. Kicking could be harder but you'd end up kicking 5.20 in wet weather.

Glad you liked it.
The goal kicking gets harder as you up the difficulty, the main thing I find is that tight angle shots are much more difficult with less skilled players

Great game and I am loving the varying results I am getting

Some nice work you're doing Lyncha

I haven't played a season on Legend mode yet, am going to start tonight, i just don't have the time for all this stat changing (new addition arrived last week)

But even on the lower settings, i was losing a game here or there anyway

So i would probbaly get spanked if i did the changes

Congratulations Glenno, I definatly understand about not having much spare time with a newborn
I hope the missus recovered well and the little one is settling into a routine
So boy or girl?

So boy or girl?

Got a girl to go with our 2 year old boy

All is well

But last night was the first time i have played the 360 since the arrival (2:50am Thursday morning)

Played an achievement chasing game (so very unrealsitic) All stars vs GCS

Knocked of the following achievements:

Leather Poisoning
Get 3 goals from direct free kicks
Share it round (9 indvidual goal kickers and win)
Hold em off (perform 10 effective tackles)

Was long, but productive

Will start my new season tonight probably
