Having said that- I'm right-handed, so I could be Dexter But(t) I have a goat called Gregory, so I could just as easily be him, too.

No power- sometimes a generator, though.
No running water
Lots of red dirt
Bloody hot sun!
Flies- those frigging flies that hang around your eyes!
Have I mentioned the dirt? And the heat?....
Too buggered at night to do anything but sleep anyway...

Yes, it HAS been described as "Hell" by a large number of people on numerous occasions.
This probably doesn't belong here but I can't help thinking of how tough the old timers used to be- in the days of the goldrushes, men used to walk almost 600kms to Kalgoorlie, with a wheelbarrow or something similar containing their swag and all of their possessions- people aren't bred tough like that these days
