Yes I was always a big fan of johnathon brown and the way his career finished is not the way I want to see the best Freo player ever and probably in the top twenty of all time finish his career. Let's hope he stays healthy, uninjured for how ever long he goes on.

You know I looked at our injury list last night and thought hmmm it doesn't actually look that big. Yes we have some important key players out but we only have 5 of last years best 22 out with Hill to maybe come back this week. The reality is that our injury toll isn't exceptional compared to quite a few other teams. Bulldogs and Pies are at least comparable and the Suns have double our outs.

Lets not fall into the trap of thinking we are 0-9 because of injuries. We were playing crap right from the outset. Clearly we have pitiful depth
all over the ground. Also lets not look at Bennell being out as significant because he has never been part of the team. I think we have only
lost Mcpharlin, Duff and Crowley from last year. Crowls didn't even play.

Bennell is significant we lost Macca and Duffield and got him. He is a number 2 draft pick and we paid for him so that makes 6 top 10 players injured. Take that out of any team and see what happens

Its not how many but who.You can't replace A graders with plodders or kids. Take Nic Nat ,Kennedy, Priddis, McGovern , Gaff out of the Eagles and see how they front up. Peel just cleaned up East Perth so depth is OK.

Well Hawthorn played Richmond a couple of weeks ago without Hodge, Roughead, Mitchell and Frawley and won by 8 goals.

We have injury concerns, but nothing so bad that it justifies out nor-competitiveness. We are seriously bad with what is still quite a mature team.

There are indeed 18 teams in the comp, 17 of them with more wins than us. We currently aren't even as good as Gold Coast or Carlton despite having the oldest list in the league and playing five guys over thirty. It's not going to get any better for us in the near term, so get used to these bottom finishes.

When someone as clueless as the above poster writes we will be down the bottom for an extended period of time it makes me 100% certain we will be rising up the ladder in no time at all. Like a Hackdorn prediction, but with more certainty that it will be a wrong prediction.
