Jeepers Creepers clone until the last 2 minutes, complete stinker until the finish. That ending was sickening. You see so much violent stuff in movies that you become conditioned to it, that was just wow.

If you get a chance, grab the Blu-Ray version as it also contains a black & white version of the film...gives it more a 1950s feel...like others I'm a fan and like others, found the ending a real downer.
The Mist was a top short story and it was a good movie. I think the ending of the movie was better then the book (King agrees, I've seen him state he prefers the movie version).
If they thought the mist was going to disappear from where it already was, they would have hunkered down in the store, their actions, including the very end were perfectly understandable given the situation (except not clocking the religious zealot earlier).

I really like the movie, just watched it again recently and the ending is a pisser. I found myself looking forward to it as I was watching it. There are some great performances in it from all the actors.

Watched it this weekend. Ending was spoiled for me long ago via a friend on AOL Instant Messenger (that's how far back). My view was affected by this.
Scarier movie than I expected. A real horror movie.
Being from 2007, it was a neat surprise to see all these actors I know from other stuff. Thomas Jane (The Expanse, Hung) I knew would be in it as the main character but Laurie Holden (The Walking Dead), Andre Braugher (Men of a Certain Age, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Jeffrey DeMunn (The Walking Dead), Alexa Davalos (The Man in the High Castle), Sam Witwer (took googling after the movie to know his name and what I remember him from: Battlestar Galactica) and Melissa McBride (The Walking Dead) I didn't know about.
Apparently the black and white version suits the tone better. Which I can imagine since so much of it is set in a supermarket. I didn't have a problem with the colours. Or the CGI as it's relatively old. But if I ever rewatch it I'll try B&W.
