Well my fellow North Melbourne folk the time has come for a change in the way that we measure the passing of time. The years will soon be known, against the teaching of the Christian world, not as a marker from which Jesus Christ that Jewish zombie rose from his Virgin mother's womb.
No longer will we have to deal the the unpleasantness of counting time by the the acronym A.D. (Anno Domini), an acronym that all beleivers in the true and the good of North Melbourne and the spirits of Hotham Hill cannot stand to hear.
All the years henceforth will be counted on a scale that begins in what the Christians refer to as December 2007 AD. The preceeding years to this date will be known as BJB (Before James Brayshaw) and the following years will be known as AJB (After James Brayshaw).
As such the North Melbourne Football Club was founded in 139 BJB and owns the 8 BJB Premiership Chalice, The 11 BJB Premiership Chalice, the 20 BJB Premiership Chalice and the 22 BJB Premiership Chalice.
By order of decree in the first month AJB.
