ok, so ive read on some of the threads in here people questioning whether multi betting is profitable in the long term, im undecided myself and think its a great way to bet. i thought id test it out a bit by seeing if i can make some money over the rest of the AFL season, may chuck in other sports aswell but AFL will probably be the main go.

ok lets start with a 4 leg multi
$50 on Melbourne +24.5, Brisbane -9.5, North Melbourne +24.5, Fremantle +24.5 @ $5.98

If you do a 4 leg multi on sportingbet or sportsbet you get 25% more up to $150. However, you need odds of 6.00

cheers guys, heading to the WAFL today and it looks to be an easy round to pick, well hopefully an easy round to pick
$50 on West Perth, South Fremantle, Subiaco, Venus Williams 2-0 sets & North Queensland Cowboys 13+ @ $9.28

Venus will be the key to the bet i think, and with her been the final leg of the bet i may have the option to hedge my bet

Well, you're already down $100 lol.

haha yep, wish i was aware which port adelaide would show up today, the way i been going lately i reckon i could stitch federer up in one of his $1.01 games. i still like north melbourne and freo with starts tomorrow, so ill put something together in the morning when there is less alcohol content in my body.

Nice experiment here doc. Ive been doing multis for a while now and believe long term you stay roughly even. Started off kicking a$$ then i felt this is a breeze. I put more money on the multis decent amounts in te hundreds and lost a few of those, to the point where i was behind. I chipped away to get back in front again, but after this shock round brissy getting belted and hawthorn getting demolished i see my self behind again. Its devestating when you loose a decent amount as you loose the confidence to have another bet. eg tomorrow i dont want to touch anyof the AFL games in fear i will loose more. But I have to get my money back just wondering if i should start tomorrow or next week.

In summary in my experience you stay around even, however this differs from punter to punter

Mate, if the Smoth wasn't red carded by a d1ckhole mod from the Cats board (not Rizz!), he would tell you that ANY multi you are going to put on tomorrow, be sure to put Fev for most goals as a leg. Smoth hates the Blues, but sans Pav it's a monty.

time to get on the board(running total -$100)
$50 on North Melbourne +21.5, Fremantle +24.5, Roger Federer, Gold Coast Titans +7.0 @ $5.32

$20 on Fevola most goals, Either team under 24.5 pts(Syd v Roos), Federer 3-0 sets & Gold Coast Titans @ $25.17

I was going to put North +25 and freo +27 paying around 2.05 at $40. Im also annoyed i didnt do it. Worst luck this week.

Make things worse i took geelong at 3 quarter time $30 at $2.15 and lost that one

great final, i under-estimated roddick too much and was lucky to come away with the collect, but ill take it, the novelty $20 multi never looked likely, will see how i can go next week.
Running Total - +$96.00

Not a big fan of multis I must admit. TAB's must rub their hands together when people continually put multi bets on in real life; there's so many variables. Fun betting on here is definitely fine though...

i have found my winning legs on multis are often NRL, melbs, st George and Bulldogs can offer some value also take in some qaulity baseball outfits (LA dodgers, Boston and yankees seem to be killing the rest), this week the vixons face second placed Waikoto-BOP so maybe some vaue? plus obviously the AFL

I think i will put some coin on a Geelong / StKilda multi this week at about $1.65. Finally they are paying more than about $1.04 each.

That would be a multi I would lay after such a big build up to that game both teams will be in a bit of a lull and may lose. That being said they are head and shoulders above the rest of the comp bar the dogs and will probably win...

yeh will be interesting to see how both geelong and st kilda back up that great game from sunday with both travelling interstate this weekend, the cats having a day less to prepare than the lions and the saints also having a day less to prepare than the eagles.

$50 on 1st Ashes Test - DRAW, Western Bulldogs -10.5, Richmond +21.5 & Adelaide to beat Fremantle H2H @ $10.41.
bit of rain around in cardiff, and two bowling attacks that may struggle to take 20 wickets to win the test. Like the dogs to clear the line vs Collingwood, and think Richmond will want redempion from round 1's embrassesment vs Carlton and can surely not get blown out by over 22(hopefully), Adelaide could beat Freo by anything so ill just take them head to head and the $10.41 is a nice price

ive just signed up to BigFooty, becuase of the PuntingBoard, as I have just got into the sports betting! couldnt resist SportsBet latest offer of 2 free bets worth 20% and 30% of your initial deposit.
my first multi bet last week paid off - just betting on 3 favourites to win to get modest odds of $2.5.
how many bets on a multi do you guys find pays off in the long run? i would have thought any more than 3 and there are just to many variables for it to be profitable?

I don't bet too much except for special occasions (Brownlow, Melbourne Cup) but put $20 worth of multi bets on every weekend without success this year...until the weekend just gone

$10 on Melbourne +18,5 Fremantle +21.5, W.Bulldogs over 39.5, Crows under 39.5, Serena Williams and Roger Federer @ $40.02

Nice little earner there, and puts me up $120ish for the year

For this weekend I am on

$15 on Sydney under 39,5, Port -10.5, Brisbane +36.5, Adelaide over 15.5, WCE +43.5, NMFC +27.5 and Richmond +31.5 @ $26.20

Fingers crossed :thumbsu:

$50 on Haw/NM either team under 24.5pts, Melbourne +17.5pts & St Kilda -24.5pts @ $6.23

could've been a perfect weekend, shame the dogs didnt wake up till 3/4 time and the saints eased off towards the end and gave away 2 late cheap goals, and missed to late shots themselves.
Week 1 - +$46.00
Week 2 - +$302.50
Total - +$348.50
