Other Teams
Chicago Bulls
Amare Stoudemire and Tyson Chandler

Both have hated eachother since highschool, and I think one of them mightve been ejected when Pheonix play Chicago during the pre season.

Yesterday Amare goes 38/14, today Tyson goes 27/18. See the coincidence.

It will only get more heated as they get older, and im sure it will be very interesting to see who throws the first punch when the Suns play the Bulls

Stoudemire was crazy yesterday but Chandler was just as impressive today. The difference though is that Amare is doing it night in and night out. Not 30 10 nights but he is consistently putting in good games. Something Chandler is yet to do. But from what I saw of Chandler, the future is bright in Chi Town.

Looking forward to the Suns Chicago game now.

Gotta agree with jod (scary, i know).

Amare, despite playing a season less, is already the vastly superior baller.

Bill Cartwright has long lamented Tyson Chandler's overly relaxed, almost lazy, attitude.

If and when Tyson develops Amare's desire and work ethic, he will be an All-Star.

Incorrect.

Tyson Chandler is the hard working energetic player, Eddy Curry is the lazy one.

Tyson Chandler took the United Center court so early Tuesday night for pregame shooting that the lights weren't even on yet.
But Chandler's getting accustomed to spending time in the dark this season, having spent many nights awake in his bed, thinking about the expectations he had for himself.

Chandler, 20, is feeling anxious in his second season. He saw what Phoenix Suns rookie Amare Stoudemire, 20, did Monday night with 38 points and 14 rebounds, and he knows he has that type of talent.

Chandler proved it Tuesday. He posted career highs with 27 points and 18 rebounds in 35 minutes to help lead the Bulls (11-20) to a 102-87 win over Portland (18-12), which had an eight-game winning streak snapped. The Bulls led the entire way and are now 10-6 at the United Center.

"I was mad I didn't get [Stoudemire's numbers],'' Chandler said. "But that's OK.''

Actually, Stoudemire's numbers helped the Bulls more than the Suns, who lost Monday.

"I created a little rival for him,'' Jalen Rose said. "Now, every time [Stoudemire] has a good game, I give Tyson a stare, and he gets [ticked] off. He told me he would get 30-30 tonight, and he went for it.''

Rose led all scorers with 32 points, and Donyell Marshall added 12 in just 20 minutes before catching an elbow in the ribs and leaving the game with 7:33 left in the third quarter.

Scottie Pippen, who received a warm ovation from the relatively small crowd of 16,392, led the Blazers with 15 points. Portland was playing its fourth game in five days and looked sluggish early.

That's why it was important for the Bulls to start strong, which they did with Chandler scoring 13 in the first quarter.

"The way [Chandler] feels right now, with all the cameras in front of him, he's going to get in his car and scream as loud as he can,'' Rose said. "He's going to read every newspaper and watch every highlight show.

"And once you get that inside of you, you become a ballplayer. And besides, he got game.''

Chandler knew he had it in him, which is why he couldn't understand why it wasn't showing up on the court. He entered the game averaging 7.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 19.2 minutes.

"Lately, I've been thinking that it's really time to start making myself better,'' Chandler said. "I feel I can do so much more.

"This season has been harder than last season. I'm serious, I can't sleep at night. I go home and stay awake. I'm going through a stage where I haven't talked to my mom for weeks. She left a million messages, but I just try to get away from the world. I'm kind of getting through it now, but it's difficult. I try to stay positive.''

Tuesday will help.

Chandler and his agent, Jeff Schwartz, are planning to hire a personal trainer to live near Chandler.

"I talked to my agent about getting someone to come work out with me on a consistent basis, either before or after practices,'' Chandler said. "I'll have to pay his cost-of-living expenses, but I need to get better.''

Sounds very promising. If Chandler can fulfill his potential then with J-Will, Rose, Marshall etc...the Bulls could be a playoff team as early as next season.
