Until the Big Fella plays his last year (2010) we have a chance to see what a post Richo forward line will look like. Personally I'd like to be going in with this next week:

Patto Jon Nahas

Cuzzy Jack Cotchin

I'd also like to see another tall forward on the bench such as Vickery or Gourdis. Gus to take the Ruck and rotate with Patto in the pocket and the tall on the bench.

First we took the Bulldog's coach, and now we're taking their midget forward line.

HF: Cotchin Riewoldt Connors
FF: Vickery/Pattison Hughes Nahas

Next year replace Hughes with Butcher;)

Edit: Forgot Morton, replace vickery/pattison or connors with him

Morton Tuck Cousins
Nahas Riewoldt Bowden

Something a lil' different .. a change of roles for Tuck ... but at least I know he'll compete across half forward and is generally an accurate kick at goal.

With Cotchin, Coughlan, Deledio, Foley and Jackson in the midfield, his career lies elsewhere.

What about Putt at FF. It could be a case of cometh the moment cometh the man. It wasn't too long ago that most on this board thought Gus was a spud and look at how he has blossomed,

if he can play consistant in the seniors then yes, but if he is fighting for a spot just to get in the coburg seniors then, no.

We need to find a Tall Forward pronto and there are four that are untried: Putt, Gourdis, Post and Vickery. I will spew if they rehash Shulz and Hughes.
Well i'd get the spew bucket or bag out because rightfully Schulz and Hughes should be given a crack at FF with Richo out of the side and to suggest JOn is a better option at FF is comical.

I'd suggest our forward line for the remainder of the year may well see 3 permanent forwards and may even end up with 2 permanent forwards and the other spots made up of rotating midfielders, however could also see 6 permanent forwards.
Coghlan, Cotchin, White, Bling, Cousins, Tuck, Lids,Collins, Jackson and Foley all add value whilst forward and have some defensive side to their games whilst also showing the ability to rotate through the mid-field, whilst Graham, Patto and Simmonds all in the same side I don't think is out of the question.

We could see a forward line such as :

Collins Schulz Patto
Lids Reiwoldt Cotchin
( the FF and CHF could have been Vickery, Hughes, Morton whatever )

or

Nahas Schulz Conners
Brown Reiwoldt Morton
( with Pettifer also in the wings as a stand by forward, once again key forward positions could have been Hughes, Vickery, Post )

I like the idea of 2 key forwards and the other 4 made up of rotating mids, or guys with the ability to play through the midfield or half back.
The big question is whether Rewioldt can assert himself as a key forward and whether Hughes or Schulz who obviously are the front runners can impact at FF ??

F Morton Schultz Oakley-Nichols

HF Nahas Riewoldt Delidio

In round 20 when Richo plays his swansong against the Pies he can play wherever he likes:)
