I still have this nagging suspicion that we have offered Clarkson a contract that he can't refuse and we may still snag him. On TFS on Thursday he was always going to deny interest, even if he is considering it because the media would be on him about not having his mind on the GF. I think that we have an ace up our sleeve because it has been almost too quiet. I probably have no idea and we will pull Cornsey out of the retirement home but until I am disappointed I will stay optimistic.

Hawks B&F on Friday. In a premiership year, i doubt he would defect before then to tarnish the week.

Only chance (that's 0.0001%) of it being Clarkson would be a weekend announcement in a weeks time.

Of course, it's more likely that our new coach will be announced this Thurs.

Is it a problem that Bassett would've played with 8 players on our current list? Vossy had that issue at Brisbane and he was given the chop, and now Collingwood are having player/coach issues with Buckley who played with a number of those on the current list.
