Can you blame us? The main criticism apart from taste seemed to be that coffee wasn't healthy lol, well neither's half a sugar pot!

I guess I can understand, coffee does have some health benefits. Not as much as tea (especially when taken properly without sugar, need to do more of that myself), but it's just like red wine, one a day is actually good for you. That said, tea is surprisingly good as a wake up call too.
I'll see if I can find some. As long as it's not that silly flavoured stuff that is.

I used to work for a Minister who threw a wobbly because we didn't have any Earl Grey in stock. Wasn't happy with my PG Tips. ******* toffee nosed Tory ******
Silly flavoured?! Why of all the...

Proper Ceylon tea from the hillsides of Kandy. No tricks or gimmicks there, it's the very stuff that gives you Brits the kick you need to get stuff done!

Do you guys get Lucozade down there?

That stuff is foul.

When I lived there we had a fridge full of the stuff and I drank a decent amount of it, but it's horrible.

What flavour - the original one? If so, I agree not nice.

Think so, is that the orange one? Think we had two flavours, didn't really like either. Prefer Powerade/Gatorade here.

Well there's an orange flavoured one which is nice and that original one which is some weird arse flavour. They both come in orange bottles - although you can tell them apart.

YT just never fails to deliver. Just searched to see if an old advert from the 80's was on there - of course it was. The days when marketing execs could decide to use an Iron Maiden backing track to sell a brand. I miss those days

Were you told to drink it when sick?

Used to have milk and two sugars in my coffee. Just decided one day to change to black no sugar. Figured I'd never have to worry about wanting a coffee and running out of milk or sugar. Took a week or two to get used to the taste but wouldnt have it any other way now.

Funny though, on the rare occasion I have a cappuccino I have three sugars. Couldnt have it without.

When I used to brew up at work, I'd always put in teabag, hot water, then milk and/or sugar. Except for my boss who was a knobhead. He got teabag, milk, sugar and then hot water. Small victories ha ha.

A high quality coffee doesn't need sugar. Coffee that is bitter needs sugar to offset the bitterness.

I have 2 a day. 1 first thing in the morn and a top up around 1030.

I drink tea when i'm with my grandparents or the inlaws.

Coffee that is bitter is burnt and you need to find another cafe with a barista who knows how to make a proper coffee. The quality of the beans and the quality of the machine mean a lot too.

Im lucky in that we have all that where i work. Plus i can make a killer long black.

Thankfully, i've found 3 places so far. There is an aussie cafe about 10 mins walk which is pricey but good.

Its weird that Aussies have the best coffee on the planet and are the masters at making it.
We don't accept shit produce most of the time. There is a cool startup here called pact coffee. They deliver coffee beans from different places around the world in a bag that fits through your letterbox. My first coffee of the day is freshly ground and then perculated. Costs about $10 for two weeks worth. I hate instant and am not a morning person so this stuff saves lives.

Instant coffee should be banned and anyone that drinks it placed in stocks and pelted with eggs.
