Just watched Zootopia. Anyone else seen it? Bloody great film.

I also just realised while watching it, no animated (kids) film is actually ever poor. Maybe it's cos they're so simple and don't try to do all this fancy stuff.

There are numerous poor ones. I think you'll find that Pixar rarely if ever makes a poor one though.

Ha, I was tooting its horn when it came out. But blooming Nora... St Patrick's Day (When it came out) feels like a really long time ago.

To make a good kids film is to be for everyone, not just the kids, and well, they did really well with that!

They were going so well until Cars 2. That was a combo breaker. While I did like the first one, the 2nd felt... yeah... mind you, it is a merchandise driven film, and if you were to ask the Pixar cast, it's probably their favourite of their own series. Oh, and we're getting a third, joy.

You could feel Disney's hand in the recent films. Inside Out was a fantastic film and felt like Pixar films of old. The Good Dinosaur was just pretty, and I can't comment on Finding Dory, but there's a few mixed reactions to it.

Watch Robots and Cars 2 then tell me there's no bad animated films.

And most of the Ice Age movies. And the third Madagascar.

Yeah, I loved it. Not every animated flick is great, but the strike rate is super high.

I loved Finding Dory, one of the best animated films I have seen. Ice Age is/was great too.

Haven't seen Cars or Madagascar.

The only average animated film I didn't enjoy much was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. But that's not to say it was poor.

I'm talking sequels not the originals. The first Ice Age was great, Madagascar 2 was great, but other movies in those franchises were pretty average.

Good article by Andrew Bolt on Fitzsimmons and I normally don't like his pieces at all. Actually out of the two of them Bolt is probably less of a w***er most the time!
