Have to lol at the 'gender equality' with female looking red and green lights being installed in melbourne, seriously, is this what the world is coming to?

Could spend money fixing shit that matters but no... traffic lights lol.

There's about a 90% chance I'm going to be offered an analyst position with a different company that will give me a 50% increase on my current salary.

It's weird being headhunted haha.

Wow. Kicking goals!
Has come completely out of the blue as well. It's one of Dad's mates who's a very smart guy. Dad mentioned what I was looking for years ago and he thought of me when the position came up.

It's a much smaller company which will be interesting - I'll report directly into the CFO. It's everything I want in a role though, especially the no client facing part haha.

Sounds a lot like the role I stepped into about 6 months ago. Sometimes smaller is best

How do you find the smaller team?

There's only 25 people in the Sydney office (the company head office is based out of the UK) which is much smaller than what I've experienced. But they sound like a decent team - they've got a no dickhead policy at work haha. Sounds like I'd have no problem fitting in.

Had a similar experience many years ago, bit of a funny story actually. Sounds like a unique opportunity for you, what are you thinking if it's offered to you?

Will you take it?

It's great I think. Feel like you've been there longer than you actually have quite quickly because you get to know everyone quicker

Have never worked in a big office but I love being part of a small company. There are 5 people in my office (plus a couple of others who rent desks), there's no office politics, no clicks, no inside jokes that anyone isn't a part of.

**** that is pathetic.

Think I have to, to be honest. I've been in my current role just under 3 years with no apparent path of progression in the short term.

This role would provide me with a far greater opportunity to expand my skills etc.

Then there's the huge salary bump which is always nice.

I'm nice and comfortable in my current position but I'm thinking challenging myself again wouldn't be the worst idea.

My interview is with three people - HR, the current manager of the team I would move to, and the state manager - all of whom I have good relationships with. I interview well and I speak every well, so I need to use that to my advantage.

There's another guy in my team who applied, he has more product knowledge than me in our current team, but I personally don't think he is ready for the step up mentally, part of the boys club and says/does things to impress a few of the fellas older than him in the office.

Are they impressed? It's annoying but that can work in his favour.

I feel like I landed the better blows though, the bleeding's already stopped on my end.
