A few cases popping up on the northern beaches here to go with the Airport van driver who contracted the virus.

Check out this couple:

Those venues have since shut and been deep cleaned, causing panic in the wealthy northern suburbs which have been untouched by coronavirus for many months.
During the time they were waiting for results, they visited multiple venues in Sydney's Palm Beach and Avalon on Sunday and Monday."

I've had a scare here. Went out on Saturday night with the missus and a friend. Friend tells us Monday/Tuesday that her sister has tested positive and they live in the same house, feeling symptoms from Sunday. Then last night when dropping off some things from the shop for them and waiting to here if our friend has COVID from a test... the sister says she's had symptoms from Wednesday! I started developing something (more of a cold than anything, no cough) but not sure what it is...

Good news is the friend has tested negative, so if I have something it didn't come from her and it's unlikely COVID as I've barely been out of the house since last Wednesday.

Basaksehir led the match 3-0 after 65 minutes and Turgutluspor’s odds to win were $1001. A few seconds later they flashed to $351 to win and a few minutes later Basaksehir scored again to lead 4-0. I wonder what happened in the match where the Sportsbet system thought that Turgutluspor were suddenly more likely to win.

Found out an overseas Facebook Friend of mine (whom I did not know all that well sadly) killed himself a couple of days ago.

I know he was really depressed and troubled for a while, but this really is rather upsetting and terrible news.

Wish I took the time to get to know him better, I know he was going through some heavy stuff with his family but still.

I am not a very religious person, but would like to think he is in a better place now.

Just so sad.

I myself have had my own battles with the Black Dog, over the years. I find sometimes even talking to someone on the Beyond Blue or Lifeline hotlines helps a lot (i try not to burden my own friends or family with my problems if I can)

I am sorry to hear that mate. I don’t know what a person must be going through in their personal life to commit suicide. That’s why we should always be kind to one another, everything helps a little.

NSW need to go harder at this northern beaches cluster. No more softly suggesting that people should consider staying home or wearing masks.

They still haven’t found the link between the first 2 cases detected and the traveller identified by genomics as the probable source. NSW Health are currently working from both ends to find that link, but they’re taking a big risk relying on contact tracing alone.

There is a scenario where this link case(s) might be infectious, asymptomatic and they/their contacts are walking around Sydney.

Personally think they should be putting the northern suburbs into lockdown for a week to give the public health unit time to catch up and trace the cluster. Masks mandatory on public transport and other high risk settings Sydney-wide. Encourage testing.

I wonder if ScoMo jumping in and giving his 2 bob on how great it is that NSW has stayed open and not ‘overreacted’ throughout the pandemic has influenced Gladys’ decision making?

I do not have a good enough PC or next gen console so am going to wait and play it.
