Back on the FM. Sold Sturridge for 50 million pounds to City. Bought Costa and Martinez for a combined 40 million. Jordy Clase was on offer for 8 million so jumped there quickly. Sakho to Monaco for 15mil, Rugani in for 5mil, SJon Silva as well. Moreno to PSG for 15mil also.

Won 1st league game 1-0 away to Forest, just promoted, Martinez injury time winner. Won the tie against some Swedish team in Euro Cup qualifiers 6-0. Then played West Brom at home. Won 6-1, Suarez with 5 goals!! Sven Bender has been huge so far and sorted out the DM problem, Diego Reyes hasn't got a sniff yet.

I bought Angelo Henriquez from Man Utd to Club Brugge for 13.5M Euro, sold him to PSG 3 years later for 45M Euro, all because I was cutting back from 2strikers to 1 in my starting XI, and an Argentinian regen I bought for 3M Euro was one of the best strikers in the world, heck, Real Madrid are offering me 65M Euro, but I don't want to bring Benteke forward from CAM. Don't have much depth there behind him. (Fuentes is 22 years old, so I'd rather hang onto him for 10 years than have to find someone else.....even if the 65M is extremely beneficial.)

This season has been a frustrating one for me. Id been chasing Erik Lamela for about 4 years but have never been able to pry him away from Tottenham where he has been tearing it apart. Then a week before the deadline, he says he wants out and is available for 40 million. Problem is id done most of my business and had nowhere near that much so I had to figure out some way to conjure up the funds to buy him.

I find setting milestone payments are huge.

In my last post I said Henriquez cost 13.5M that was the initial fee. Man Utd wanted 60M or something ridiculous. Managed to get him for 13.5M upfront, 10M after 50 league games, 10M after 20 league goals, 5M after 10 internationals. So 38.5M for him (+50% of my profit of next sale). Got him in, despite only having 13.8M in my budget at the time, I still got him, as those future fees don't hit you instantly.

Well worth the investment, went 40 goals in his first season, 30 in his 2nd (teams adapting to my gameplan) then 20 in his 3rd (I change to 2strikers and my Argentian regen carved it up as the #1), 90 goals in 3 years (League, Cup and Europe)

What annoyed me, is I had 2 fringe players with no gametime up for transfer, I lugged them onto this deal, could've got it done for about 20M + the 2 players. But neither of the 2 players could come to terms wih Man Utd. So I had to up the money.

Question about FM.
If you play in lower leagues long enough, do they eventually get new tv deals?

I'm in Belgium and want to turn the league into a Big 5 league (Got them up to 6, but still a fair way behind France in co-efficient)
But what the league needs for the rest to improve is a good upgrade in the tv deal. Could this come?

Had a deal for Courtois with Mignolet and Hodzic going the other way. Both couldn't come to terms, so had to fork out 12m now. Finished top of EURO Cup group, threw the last 2 games and played youngsters to rest some players, still finished on top. 3rd in the league after 15 games, drew my last 3 with Arsenal, Man U and Newcastle.

Martinez is banging them in for fun. Iancu is on fire and still valued at under 5m. Richards on the right and Davies on the left have been immense.

Gylfi Siggurdson is an absolute jet in this FM. An old save he banged in 15 goals a season and so far 6 games into the new one he has 3 goals and 3 assists!

Playing as spurs I have signed Marcel Schmelzer, Nathaniel Clyne, James Ward-Prowse, Depay, Chicharito. 5 wins and 1 draw going into the Liverpool game, unfortunately I started the save before the latest update that would have had Suarez out suspended

Playing as Soton, played the first game in the league (2-0 win over QPR) then the game crashed before I could save.

I haven't played any further as a result.

Belgium is lifting in my fm save.

3 teams in the champions league, all 3 survive the group.

Me over Barca, Wolfsberg and Celtic
Anderlecht over Real Madrid, AC Milan and Galatasaray
Genk over Braga and Sparta Praha (finished behind Manchester Untied)

Next year we go from 1gs + 1 3rd round, to 2gs, 1 3rd round.
So if one of us can win the champions league, we can get 4 clubs into the group stage. Looking forward to it.

Back to FM14. I finally got around to playing it now it's cheap. Normally start in league two but couldn't be ****ed going that low this time so went with Port Vale in league one. Just wondering if anyone knows some good available players to pick up in the lower leagues?
