Yeh we get him checked quite regularly. He tends to get these benign cysts but the doctors says they are nothing. Just sebaceous cysts and I've had one before too. They are basically nothing. Like I said, he's still in fairly good shape, it's just he's starting to get old and all those things that come with getting older are starting to rear their head. Thanks mate, and sorry to hear about your dog as well. But from my experience with this one I'd say actually think that he is able to walk albeit not as fast is a positive, because that's the same bad feeling I had for this dog just 12 months ago, that I thought it's terrible that he's slowing down, going sorta deaf and blind, yet I'd take that now, knowing how quickly they can deteriorate. The times I thought were his declining periods are actually the honeymoon
Also from my experience, it's always good to check out why they're slowing down, sometimes it's a heart disease that you don't find out until it's a bit late. I was lucky I got mine diagnosed early, the stupid Lort Smith vet checked his heart and thought he was fine even though he just fainted from irregular heart beat twice the 24 hours before, coz that arts student vet reckons it's his braaaain. I got him to the new vet and she took an X ray scan and bang they found an enlarged and overworked heart.
Anyway good to hear your dog's still going alright, treasure the moments now coz old dogs really do change quickly from day to day
Good to see yours is a bit bubblier though!
