Agree about Muse. They were insanely good but everything after Black Holes and Revelations just became far too bombastic.

Each album has different vibes and sounds though.
Who are your favourite artists out of curiosity? Might be able to pick an album for you.

Creep
Karma Police
Fake Plastic Trees
No Surprises
Paranoid Android
High and Dry
Just
Exit Music
Idioteque
Let Down

They were the 10 you heard?

You know that slow doesn't necessarily mean they are depressing songs?
Not depressing but energy sapping. I enjoyed quite a few of those songs fwiw. Just too similar for me to listen to more than a few at a time. Yeah that's the 10 I heard, really like 5 of them. Heard the following which were also of that same feel

2+2=5
Sit Down Stand up
Sail to the Moon
Backdrift
Go to Sleep

Enjoyed the last two. So 7/15 which isn't too bad. But I would say 13/15 had a very simiar feel to it.

In no particular order top 5 bands would be Oasis, Kasabian, Artic Monkeys, Two Door Cinema Club, Foals. Probably many others than that could have got in there too but wanted to mix it up a bit with Foals who are very different to the others

Big fans of all of these bands, and give Oasis a run every now and then for a few select songs.

bok_party's list of radiohead songs was pretty much spot on. My favourite at the moment is probably electioneering

Those five songs you mentioned are all from the same album, "Hail To The Thief" so maybe check that whole thing out. I guess I can see where you are coming from but for me, majority of their songs get me really pumped up. I can listen to "Let Down" and I will just get a surge of adrenaline.

Check out "In Rainbows" too. That album isn't on Spotify for some reason but that's probably their most accessible album along with OK Computer and The Bends.

Yeah seen all those guys live too. Like your Britpop it seems ;)

Yeah I like Let Down. Wouldn't really say it's a surge of adrenaline song but did enjoy it. For some reason Royal Blood I find great to listen to at work when i'm getting pretty drained. Wouldn't say they're a great band but they're a great listen to get that surge of adrenaline your talking of

The best Radiohead song for me is Lucky. So many feels. Give it a listen JD if you haven't already

Rate it :thumbsu:

That's what I mean. It's not one of those songs that normally would but I get something out of all of these "energy sapping" songs. Different feels for different people I guess. Plus I'm a Pisces so I'm more emotionally intuned ;)

Let Down would be a good song for a youtube video montage. Could see how it could work as a pump up song in that sort of way. But on its own just doesnt do it, probably me being a Leo haha

Too much Radiohead for one day. Need some uplifting stuff to get me through balance sheet recs that i've not progressed on in the past 2 hours listening to Radiohead!

Bit of a whine and going back a bit to the whole Hollywood whitewash thing or similar, sick of people trying to push their political agendas on movie makers. Worrying about whether there's an equal portion of black people or white people or asian people or gay people, and go apeshit when they don't like it. It's a ****ing movie, just sit back and enjoy FFS, who goes through movies caring these things?

This whole #GiveElsaagirlfriend shit is even worse, it's just a kids movie! Whilst I'm for gay rights, what difference is there with these people trying to insert their political point of view into a kids movie to "educate them" and Kim Jong Un "educating" children with hidden propaganda elements in their media? Leave your ****ing politics outta movies and let them enjoy it and decide when they grow up

That was a rant, but honestly some ****wits nowadays. I love Disney but they should tell these people to **** off. I always thought SJWs is a stupid term but now I know why some people don't like them

Yeah leave politics at the door. I want to be entertained!

It ruins the experience, like the new Star Wars, while it's nice to have a female and a black actor lead, when you feel like there's such a deliberate political agenda it takes away the enjoyment, whether the agenda's right or not. I watch Disney movies to get away from that shit, not to have it subliminally forced on me

Finally giving episode 3 a watch tonight all you Star Wars buffs.
Not a great one to start with!!

After talking about rock bands today, just saw We Will Rock You, saw it on my gap year in 2010, just as good if not better. So amazing. Feel like they added a tribute to dead musicians this time around as well.

I've said it a few times now but Finn was written with no ethnicity in mind. I suppose you're pissed off Carrie Fischer had such a prominent role in the originals, pushing an agenda back then too? Honestly your entire post is complete tripe. It's such a right wing perspective that any attempt at equality and diversity is met with scorn and accusations of an agenda and not merely people genuinely acting out of meritocracy. When you have a movie based on a Japanese manga making white extras look Asian with cgi you know things are ****ed.
