He's a nice guy and i've enjoyed his input (football commentary) in the past, don't watch the golf coverage enough to judge. But i think he is not useful with the tennis coverage.
He, like Chris Dittmar are just there to anchor the coverage and let the experts provide their analysis. But i hate how Sandy constantly states the obvious (catering to the dumb/clueless viewers i guess) and brings out the meaningless stats book

There was a time back in the late 1990s when he was calling an AFL match and when the two ruckmen were jostling for the throw-in he said 'Like two praying mantis making love'.

Did anyone hear him say "Oh my god" in the American accent when Sarena Williams lost the first set. Cringe worthy face palm.
I just love the way any sentence talking about it being hot, or about the talent is being followed up with a personal comment about Tracy.
