Yeah I think the Royals analysing the posts of others is a bit like an alcoholic criticising the drinking habits of others.
Is that like me and Brent Harvey playing more than 400 AFL games between us?We own 8 gold Logies between us.

Much better, MWPPYour HP dig would’ve had merit if you and then 2 of your teammates hadn’t brought it up before I did. I generally post in a chatty manner and make no apologies for that . The ironic thing is that your own posts were of that nature too.
As for the Freo fan engagement thing - I try and go out of my way to interact with rookies , and yours just happened to mostly be Freo fans from the tour game and that thread had a lot of goodwill in it. It’s not the place to have a dig at someone due to or based on the footy team they support (there’s the Bay /main board for that ).
I remember all the times we had to go to Mr Fisher’s office when we were in primary schoolWell I've always said you were the Tadpole Rebecchi of the Sweet FA.
Which makes us cousins.
Home and Away has won a shitload of Logies and awards over the years too. Doesn't mean it's not a festering pile of turds.
Hello Ned,
Did you know that Alf is not real?
Much love,

Hello Ned,
Yes, it's hard to believe. But Alf is a character played by an actor called "Ray Meagher".

Fun fact: before the Royals entered this league, banter only consisted of feral grunting noises and crude hand gestures.

I enjoy this analysis Noobz0r, very much. Very well thought out and well communicated.Las Vegas Bears
Round 1 saw the Las Vegas Bears travel to Gold City to take on my Royals. It was a good way to start the season, with the opposition not throwing any curve balls at us, or taking anything too seriously. Behind closed doors most of our comments revolved around how their list and performance in the match thread felt a bit empty, so let's dive in.
Posting Unit
Top 3
1- tgrs
We worked really hard to get tgrs to the Royals when we heard that he was making a comeback. Back in the day he was a very balanced match thread poster who was able to be fun, relevant, and get his hands dirty with banter. He made a blazing start to the match thread and was absolutely their best contributor to the thread until he had a quiet spell from Thursday through Saturday. He was good humoured, kept it relevant and was the only Bear who offered any sort of antagonism and had a dip. His 23 posts for the week puts him right in the sweet spot of being a presence, but not over-doing it. Hopefully this kind of output sees him enjoy his time and make this comeback a long one.
2 - JoshWoodenSpoon
This is where it gets tricky for the Bears. Josh was up and about early in the week and, along with tgrs, laid a solid foundation in defending his club and getting stuck into the Royals. The issue? He doesn't actually play for the club anymore. The fact that he was their 2nd best poster in the opening week of the season, whilst playing for the Bombers, says a lot.
3 - Cap
I was very impressed with the debutant, he took to the thread like a fish to water. He was quick-witted and a lot of fun, and managed to keep it qooty relevant for the most part. I am interested in seeing how he develops through-out the season, having not seen him around the site I am hoping he has the potential to add a harder edge to his posting - something the Bears desperately need.
Bottom 3
1 - MWPP
This may be a slightly controversial selection given that MWPP contributed 48 posts in the thread to be their second-highest contributer. But they are just such "chatty" posts that it really does make me wonder if I was in a match thread or a general discussion thread. Between HP references, and discussions about other boards on BigFooty, the thing that really drove this rating was the need to build a friendly rapport with the Fremantle fans on our side. Firstly, the fu** does who you support in the AFL have to do with the SFA? Secondly, they're Fremantle fans and you barrack for West Coast, if you're going to reference the AFL in here at least have a dip at them.
2 - Test Tickle
Another controversial inclusion given he topped their post-count with 69 (hee hee) and led the side as skipper. But the thing about being a captain in the SFA is that you need to bring your posting unit into the thread and engage them. Most of the 69 (still funny) posts were needless filler, and on the weekend dissolved into cooney-esque barracking. Very few were tagging teammates, very few were leading from the front, and very few even warranted a response from the Royals.
3 - Lemon Boi
This one is harsh, but the Bears only had 3 other posters who topped the 3 post minimum: AuntyBlindEye was in the conversation as a top poster and I enjoyed Matera92 's Bearly Legal schtick. I have no idea who this person in, and their 6 posts for the week did nothing to inspire me. A good foot soldier who will probably find himself in their Bears midfield soon enough.
Opposition Engagement
Those who were in the thread certainly did engage and respond to Royals posters. The problem is that they only contributed 35% of the match thread, and the bulk of that came from 2 posters. Of those who engaged, I only found tgrs was the one who could be considered "elite" in engagement, whilst Test Tickle, MWPP, and Cap were decent. They weren't at all insular, however I feel that they could have driven the banter a bit harder. By the weekend it had dissolved into "go team!" style posting, not really conducive to letting the opposition in.
4/10
Posting Culture
The week was enjoyable, but in a friendly way. It was like a casual darts game down at the local. The Bears lack some tough nuts in the list, their go to this week was good-natured general discussion and team barracking. There was barely a whimper in terms of trying to bait the Royals. It turned into a bit of a nothing week really.
Conclusion
I am seriously concerned for the Bears going forward. Their 2nd best poster this week doesn't even play for the club, and the 35% contribution against one of the weaker posting lists from S28 is setting off alarm bells. They need some of the posters we didn't see to step-up, or need to work hard to add some posters during the season. Personally I found it hard to engage with anyone who wasn't tgrs, and spent more of my week re-acclimatising myself to sharing a bunk bed with spookism.

You know what, challenging of my leadership aside, I'm happy with that assessment. In fact, challenging of my leadership included I'm very happy with that assessment purely cause I'm not as bad as philreich! Good job Rats. And thanks Noobz0r for the fair and quality assessment
Also just tagging jackster83 Sparkle GotTheGoodes and LukeParkerno1 so that they can see this cause the tag notification didn't work for some reason.
