Hey I recently got The Orange Box for PC as a gift and I am loving HL2 and TF2 (despite being so terrible at it).

If you want to add me on Steam my ID is jabso.

I just have this question RE Counterstrike Source and Day of Defeat. I'm thinking of getting the Source Multiplayer pack (DOD:Source, CS:S and HL2:Deathmatch) and I was wondering what size the download of this pack would be roughly?

And with TF2 around what latency does a game become noticeably unplayable?

Doubtful. Not for a while at least. I'm playing through Episode 2 right now and loving it. TF2 I've been looking forward for a long time but haven't played it yet.

I used to play Quake with Robin Walker who created the original teamfortress and now works for valve working on TF2. He's a GUN FPS player and really knows his stuff. I always thought TF would live up to the wait.

Have a look at portal, it was in the orange box 360 version so i imagine its in the PC version too.

Its tops, in fact won a few critics GOTY

I played a bit of portal at a mate's place and thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the lady talking about momentum. "In simple terms: speedy thing go in, speedy thing come out."

I would get the orange box or download the equivilant programs via Steam but I haven't played Episode 1 yet. I'm planning to finish playing HL 1, then play HL 2 fully through again (have already done this once) and then play Episode 1 and Episode 2.

After playing games like Crysis you'd think a 2004 FPS might be a bit dated but the engine was so good at the time and the levels are so nice that the are still fantastic games. Even HL 1 from like 98 still holds up very well due to an excellent story and level design.

HL2: DM takes up 146Mb, so it's not too big for a game of that quality.

I have HL1, HL2, HL2: Ep1, HL2: DM and they're still all great games which i play regulary.

Yeah I think I will enjoy Portal a lot as I love puzzles in games (for example in Metroid Prime series and Zelda series). But I'm trying to get through Half-life 2 and EP1 first.

I steal copyrighted intellectual property by downloading SNES ROMS of games I've never, ever owned.

Oh er, I mean... what's a SNES?
