I mentioned this in another thread, but I think it's worthy of one of its own.

I reckon Burton might be engaging in the practice of arousing oneself almost to the point of climax, immediately prior to taking the field to boost testosterone levels as discussed on the footy show last night. It would certainly explain a lot. He always seems on edge, and really does look like a man who's as toey as a Roman sandle when he has the ball in his hands.

The answer is obviously for his pre game routine to be seen through to it's ultimate conclusion, thus making him much more mentally calm and relaxed on the field. I think we've finally found a role in the club for Matthew Smith ;)

Does that mean we will be able to include Smith in the votes for best team man? :)

Cometh the man eh
I think you're trying to read too much into it.

The trouble with Birdman is his brain! :D

Having said that, when he takes another mark of the year in the goal square against the Aints and doesnt do an ankle Ill be happier.

Head job, stiffy, cometh the man ... all very witty observations.

But surely the best comment to come out of all of this would be that Matthew Smith would officially be a wan-ker.
