I don't post on it, but I use it to aggregate news and to see posts from people that I find interesting. It hasn't changed one bit, for me. If anything, the "for you" shows me far more interesting stuff than it did before Elon took over. Maybe it's my imagination.

If you're using it for news aggregation then I can see it wouldn't have really changed.

It's totally buggered replies though by sorting people paying for blue ticks first who also seem to be the dumbest people on the planet.

I take my hat off to musk for that brief two day period where people were setting up new fake blue ticked accounts for like Lockheed Martin and Chiquita and straight up knocking tens of millions off of their share price.

Should have kept it like that.

An Eric Idle inspired bit of comedy, a satire based on The Beatles.
(And if you’re really good at picking out cameos, full of them: George Harrison as a reporter, Ronnie Wood as a punk squatter, Bianca Jagger as a Linda McCartney and a character called Charity Hitler as a Yoko Ono).
Must have been created in the mid 70’s, Idle says it’s post Python television.

At the time there was a move to get the Beatles back together. One of the big talk shows had offered the Beatles a huge amount of cash if they would re-unite on their show.

Taking the piss , Saturday night Live offered something in the order of $2000.

Eric Idle at the time had a show called "Rutland Weekend Television" which was a show disguised to look like some sort of community TV show program.

SNL had decided to get him to host an episode, and to set it up, they feigned a bad line where Eric would bring the Beatles, and collect the $2000.
The bad line had disguised the fact that it was actually the Ruttles, setting it up for the show, where the Ruttles were born.

Rutland Weekend Televison did get some headlining acts though.

It's a classic - I think it was financed by George Harrison.

I saw a doco on how Harrison had put up everything he owned to set up a production company to release Th Life Of Brian after BBC freaked out about it being sacrilegious and pulled out funding half way through production. If had gone arse up he would have lost everything including his house. Ended up making some of the great British films.
