Just read on the AFL site that Kelly is a certainty to play for Killa :)

Will there be any other changes, I suppose we'll just wait and see.

I started this thread because the other threads about 'round 6 teams' had a lot of estimates in, and no facts, post facts only here.... ;)

I think thats not good... Burnsy isn't fit... I had a strange feeling that he was going to fire this week... Nevermind.

burnsy has been playing way below his best so under those cicumstances we might not miss him as much...

the one i'm worried about is james kelly cause brissy were set to pick him at number 19 but we jumped in at 17 so they obviously know he can play and he might get a bit of attention from the outset but with any luck he could be up to the task..

anyway good luck to young kelly on his first game.

just heard a strong rumour that sando might be out, be interesting to see wether Johnson gets a game cause thompson said he wasn't playing woolnough until at least round 8.

I wonder about the seriousness of Sandersons Calf injury, if it is the reoccurance and the first time he injured it he missed 5 weeks and I see that Josh Hunt is in ( cover for Sanderson), I dont want to see him in the side until he has 1000% recovered.

Steve Waugh has a condition called compartment syndrome, excuse my spelling' which he suffers problems within his calves, it can be a serious condition that could limit or end an A.F.L players career if it is on the sever side.

Spot on, GFC-man. Winning might come a little easier with Ronnie Burns in the lineup, but this squad would benefit better with a healthy Burns in the lineup rather than with Burns not at 100%.

Meanwhile, nice to see Ablett Jr. getting a start at left full-forward. Thompson is rewarding him for a pair of strong performances against St. Kilda and Fremantle, and he-- as well as the remaining Cats' kiddie corps-- are riding a wave of confidence right now, and perhaps a win over the Brisbane Lion might not sit out of the realm of possibilities.

The Lions should win this game in all rights, but no one shoudl write off Geelong, given how the last few weeks have gone. If it's close going into the final term, buckle your seatbelts for a bumpy ride.

Cheers,
William

It is true than Burnsy hasn't been at his best, but I still think we need him against such a quality side in Brisbane. It is very good to see Kelly in the team, I've been waiting to see his inclusion for some time, but obviously Ablett and Bartel have taken over. Next to be included SHOULD be Steve Johnson, but not for some time... I'm feeling slightly confident that we won't get belted going in with this side.... Does anyone know the weather forecast for the game? :)

There's no doubt that Brisbane will start as favourites, but Geelong will give it their best shot as they have absolutely nothing to lose!! I expect Geelong to play defensive and try to be in the game for as long as possible. If we can do this, you just never know what can happen if luck goes our way. ;);)

Good luck to James Kelly playing his 1st senior AFL game. :):)

Go cats!!
