A topic brought up last year after our disappointing finish, but it's almost certain that some great stalwarts in Thompson and (one of my favourites) Frankie Peckett will have played their last games. At least it was in Melbourne...
But the loss of those two won't be as huge as many make out. They work hard but they are only fringe players, and Steven Powell hasn't looked good since the 2004 season. So I don't think it will decrease our chances of a flag next year.
If those three go, then the chances of Banger staying on might increase. Next year we need things to go right and not have so many injuries during a game, our '05 and '06 finishes to the season were eerily similar, hanging on at 3 quarter time and then getting blown away in the final term due to injuries catching up with us.
