I know this won't happen but i'd make these changes:

IN:
Mcphee - If fit this is a no brainer.

Dyson - A dry fast track if he can get the pill in space 15-20 times in the middle his left boot will do the rest. we need some polish in the middle to complement the grunt midfielders in JJ, MJ, Pev, Bullen etc

Lovett - A huge punt i know but he is a genuine crumber with pace who could play at the feet of lloyd. Add him to a forward line of Lloyd, Hird Cupido and hille and we could do some real damage on the scoreboard.

OUT:
Lovett-Murray - Has done stuff all for a couple of months.

Haynes - Put in a stinker yesterday and showed a lack of a defensive game(******** even Cupes chased out of defense which is a good sign).

Stanton - Just think the kid needs a breather, if we win next week id even bring him back in.

I have a feeling Joey or Mercs might come in though, because with the poor performance of those young blokes he might think he needs experience.

I don't think Lovett is a huge punt (although I guess playing a first gamer in a final is a risk). I'd play him.

Port don't have a quality quick small defender that would be comfortable going against Lovett.

Geelong will no to respect to him after his performance against their vfl side a few weeks ago. Bring him in.

Would go with those changes, except Lovett - would rather not see him have his first senior game in a final. Prefer to have Richards come in, or Joey if his knee is ok

bring in dyson instead of alvey, and you might just be onto something...

don't get me wrong, I have high hopes for ernie, but I think a full preseason next year will bring out the best in him after last years reco.

pornstar would be the most important addition if he's fit imo (even moreso that smokey).

EDIT: actually now that I've thought about it a bit more, Stanton should stay in. Yes he had a very ordinary day yesterday, but I doubt he'd be that overawed again, and we'll need his speed to counterract the cats.
Perhaps a big week on the track focussing on his kicking might be worth a shot though...

It's extremely doubtful that both (or either?) porny or mcphee will come in anyway.
Even if we lose, it gives the kids a bit of experience.

well 5 weeks off now so should be ready to come back...
it was reported that he was definitely going to come back against melbourne but i guess it was sheeds and co. up to their old tricks.

I've read everything from a simple spasm in the muscle at training last week to him re-tearing it (season ender) in the same training session. The club hasn't come out and said anything about it. I'd say there's a fair chance we won't see him till next year.

Tend to agree unfortunately. McPhee will play as will Misiti. Ben (FIGJAM yet I have done nothing) Haynes and NLM will be dropped. Interesting to see if Stanton gets dropped as it was his first final. Would like to think he will get another go. If some miracle occurs and Rioli is fit then Stants will go for him.

Without Kingsley and Mooney and Ablett on one leg - we should beat the catters. The only reason they beat us is because Kingsley tears us a new one. without him they are stuffed for goals. Just need another team performance to get over the line. 50-50 game, but we will win it if we turn up to play.

Yeah, I left Rioli out, pending on his condition. If he's fit then for sure I'd have him in somewhere. I actually put him down as an emergency

One reason why I usually don't pick sides this early in the week, cause a lot of stuff happens between now and then.

I think Mc Phee and Rioli should be nursed through until the Prelim. assuming we make it. It is more likely that we will make the final rather than not making it.
