I love Peaky but jeez he doesn't do well when it comes to cricket.

He basically watches 0 cricket that is played outside of Australia (i.e. often more of our matches than are played here each year) and then makes broad sweeping statements about players etc.

It would be like me making 'factual' statements about East Fremantle.

So because they allow a couple of (in your opinion) nuff nuffs to waffle on, the whole station should be shut down in Summer? Bollocks. Peaky is one of four people on SEN whom I dislike listening to, in fact I cringe and shudder and sometimes turn off when these people are speaking, but it doesn't mean SEN still isn't good to listen to in Summer.

I would've thought with everyone disliking SEN without the footy that this thread would die down a bit (surely you all don't listen to something you don't like ), but no, the hatred is in fact growing momentum.

Peaky, Shane Donoghue, Howard Kotton and Mark Stone - all irrelevant people to SEN really. What do they all have in common? They continually interrupt their fellow presenter(s) and go on some random tangent that has nothing to do with the current discussion. Sure, the main presenters have idiosyncrasies that can annoy me at times, but I still appreciate their work.

Ha! Yeah, I like Peakey, but he can frustrate me when he goes off about something he's not a full book on. His worst effort was when he rambled on about Lance Armstrong. I reckon he made a goose of himself, coz he only had about a third of the facts.

One of them was Peaky going on about how this current test series should be more than 3 matches and was blaming 20/20 Cricket for it not being longer. The caller pointed out that since South Africa's return to Cricket in the early 90's every series (apart from one) between the two teams has always been 3. The first ever 20/20 international match was in 2005.

Peaky then went on to say that Cricket Australia should have made this series longer this summer by agreeing with Cricket South Africa for them to stay longer this summer by sacrificing a future boxing day text match here for us to play them over in South Africa on boxing day.

I don't understand all the Smokey cricket reports controversy.

3aw have every year with all Test and one day matches had Graeme Bond , Bruce Eva or Shane McInnes , even the late Clinton Grybas on the odd occasion , have always been in the next studio reporting cricket scores throughout the summer and continue to do so.

Except when the match is being played in Victoria , they will be at the MCG or Junction Oval watching it and reporting live sitting in the same comm box , when the shows host is presenting their show from the MCG for the occasion

If yo have been in the studio they have a screen which would show the cricket, so why do they need to pay for someone to sit in the next room watching the same thing. They also have these young blokes doing updates , why can't they do it.

That's why they Sen and 3aw both introduce their cricket score update with a lead in ad ...... " This cricket update is brought to you by etc ......"

Cricket diehards would either be watching the TV for a score or if they are out and about or they would be listening to the cricket on ABC radio , some people are happy to be updated with the score whilst listening to the regular radio show on another station as they always do.

Sen and 3aw do not hold any broadcasting rights whatsoever , both would love to broadcast some games but Cricket Aust won't allow them to.

Yes after the Footy season Bondy does go to most of the summer Golf events in Aust , but not broadcast live from the stadium of all the cricket matches played around Australia except the MCG or one of his collegues does instead.
