22 rounds [probably 3 games a weekend] + 9 finals = about 75 games
I did the maths myself and I agree with you; I was stunned at how he came up with that figure. You can throw in mondays, thursdays and anzac day as well. brings it up to about 80. I don't know where he got the extra 20 or so from, but as I say it was from a reliable source.

Also if the AFL buy a slice of SEN then they might want SEN to cover NAB Cup games.

I think it would include....

Friday Night Match
Worst Saturday Arvo Match
Worst Saturday Night match
Second Sunday Match
and Twi-Light match on Sunday.

3AW and MMM would get
Friday Night
Saturday Night and Arvo (best games)
Sunday's best match.

These are called the A and B packages.

1 Million a year for the A package.

Yep that's him. He said a few weeks ago he would come down and bare his arse at the end of the season if Richmond didn't make the eight ... He seriously needs a bit of help that bloke. He's 49 for ffs.
Haha come on, how can you not love Billy, he is clearly unemployed, lives with his mother at nearly 50, and he aint the full ticker, talking to Tony every night is the best thing hes got going for him. You have gotta love it, the guy says some funny things, Lately he has been in a bit of a feud with Dean the Bias Bulldogs supporter, nothing like hearing those two go at it.

not sure if its still done, but when beva was doing the late shift he'd pose a question that would spark some controversy, get two callers to debate it. was funny listening!

any other regular late talkbacker caller that provides a laugh or 2
Ben Carbonara I think is his name. He is a real is a pain in the arse and bore to boot. He use to post regularly on Bigfooty and he has some very minor role with the Werribee Football Club. He is always a caller on the weekends.

So they could be doing up to 4 to 5 games a weekend depending on the make-up of the round.

he yet again lost one of his many bets and was supposed to come good and sing the doggies theme song if the dogs beat the tiges.

tony even played the song for him to sing along with and not even with tony doing a bit of singing would billy join in.

he then claimed not to know the theme song....bad form billy boy :thumbsd:

Why the pic being taken down, has she been sacked from SEN. Says nothing at all when I have heard her, so that wont suprise me that she been sacked

friday arvos with daniel harford, mark doran and rita quite possibly the worst show on SEN. love driving around during lunchtime but on a friday listening to that stuff id prefer to be under piles of paperwork.

Couldn't disagree more, the friday afternoon show and gladiators of sport are the best things on SEN, IMO. Always funny and entertaining which is more than can be said about a few other programs, particularly the painful breakfast hours.

BTW...anyone know for sure if SEN have the footy rights next year? Is there a date the AFL has to make its decision by?

fair enough. im not a fan of mark doran, or harford, or rita for that matter, but each to their own.

breakfast is terrible i must agree.

Anyone have a pic of J.Peak? Now that would be interesting.

is that the sports memorabilia guy? i remember him being on sport 927 on late night shows.

I am told that he is a Lawyer. That likes to give families a hand in breaking up by offering services. Great man is the Stephen J Peak who went "alumnus" of Xavier College.

no official annoucement has been made yet by the afl but sen will definitely be calling the footy in 2007. there are two packages A & B which the networks are negotiating with at the moment.

not as such my north but i'm close friends with one of the heavy hitters at sen.

Kooley if you are well up with what happens at SEN who will be there front line football commentators when they get the football , which they will .

Rex Hunt had a dig on the weekend naming his boring football commentators and the two he named from SEN were Andrew Maher and Mark Doran .

So Kooley tell us more who will be the commentators at SEN
( might make a difference to whether i get back there one day :) so i would love to know ):)

whoever can do the best brown nosing. no seriously i would say the two lads hosting the run home and the man behind the mike from 7-11pm will be at the forefront when the jobs are decided. personally i don't think the good oil will be in the mix.
