Beva is my equal favourite host of any show on SEN. Its a pity that he doesnt get a better shift as he has to fill his show with some minor sports as the newsday is over.

if it wasnt for mark allen who actually had some opinions beva would of probably pretended like the saints stuff didnt happen last night on his show, its alright if you dont want to go overkill on a topic that was done to death all day but this is the stuff sen is made for dont just let it fizzer out and pretend all is rosy

just like his mate finey who acts hardcore and whatever but bags the cheer squads and other petty shit before any decent issues - pathetic

yeah he gets on my nerves too but i still listen. why? prob because there's nothing else to listen too, but at least i can still get my sports news fix. usually after 6pm i flick over to 3aw to listen to sports today.

Whatever you do don't do ice and listen to the Radio. Are you kidding? I would rather stick knitting needles in my ears than have to listen to his whiney voice..and by the way "did I tell you the story about the time I made the cut for the US Open" - no Mark I have only heard that story about 40 or 50 ****ing times!!!!!!

i remember when he filled in on the morning show years ago (when lyon was around), he was great. but then ego took over.

look i dont mind him especially when theres a major on. but otherwise its dull. playing golf talking about it

also loled when he demanded that an aussie golfer be given a lap of honour at the G earlier this year because he won a big tournament. its great to recognise winners, but allen has to know his limitations.

aldo does amoung others Sam Newman, Richie, Tony Greig, and Don Bradman.

Have see him in live doing his act and is very very good, like Bruce knows every singel Brownlow Medal winner from the 1960's onwards

It's quite obvious that SEN are just happy to take the cheap people, or whoever is in the boys club, I mean the over-night crew during the week? THey have a fricking restaurant owner and that restaurant's marketing manager to discuss "all things sports" honestly....they make food for a living, why do I care what they think about sport? It just seems like it all comes down to who you know on the inside, Im sure Schibechhi and others get free food and free events to host down at Feddish, and in return these guys get their 15m by being on radio for 2 hours a night, smacks of an amateurish operation.

i just feel the run home could be so much better

they spend the first hour on a boring talkback topic and have an interview or 2 before they go to the soap box which isnt really a soap box more a cryfest

their is no analysis of proper sport and its not because the listeners dont want it its because the hosts who have nfi

any french open news or insights on sen? Nope!

euro qualifiers/socceroos friendly reports? Nope!

a bit of results on sen central for mine doesnt cut it, how about talking about SPORT for once instead of ****ing afl rule changes all day

robbo rips ox when talking about footy and ox is meant to be on friday night footy lol and robbo is just a fat journo but i like the guy

mark allen is a typical golf yuppie and i hate golf but atleast he brings something different, spotlight to this day has still been my fav sen show

Bit harsh bagging the soccer coverage on The Run Home.

Just this week they've had Lucas Neil, Victory CEO Geoff Miles and Ben Buckley from the FFA.

I agree about the guys from the fedish bar , maybe Ox can have a barman from his pub on the run home or Dermie can get a panel beater from his workshop along to help commentate the footy.
World Sport Overnight was so much better when Franklin and Brett were doing it.
Tony seems like an alright bloke but the others seem to be much more with it , most of the time Tony seems to be tired sounding or not interested and can get impatient with the callers .
But the main thing is Franko , Brett even Rob Harding they all sound like they know what they are talking about and Tony doesnt either study up on whats happened or have the sports knowledge the others do callers will ask Tony something and he will say i didnt see it or didnt read it .
When they did the show they had so many interviews whilst Tony wants to replay long interviews to fill the time.
replays of the whole quarter of games from the weekend on Sen , please its not tv .

I agree about the free food, but these blokes know more about sport than Tony. When a caller asks about how a certain player is going, Tony will pretend to know what's going on, he'll say "yeah...". In contrast, the Feddish boys will actually talk about that player and display some knowledge.

In today's day and age, the Sports central updates are really redundant. If you're gonna tell us the results, have some commentary or feedback behind them - if you really want to know the results you'd have looked them up on the net, and if you were waiting for Matt Thompson to tell you then you obviously don't care for the result.

Or he'll try and cover it up by pretending he knows what he's on about. "You see the Tigers on the weekend? How about that Chris Newman" and he'll reply with his high-pitched "yeah..." response. He's from the same school as Caro or Hutchy - cares about off-field issues but wouldn't know the first thing about what happens on field.

I didn't know that, sounds pathetic...a whole quarter of commentary? Sure noone listens to it at that time but he's getting paid for nothing.

I used to enjoy Tony's work but he sounds more and more disinterested - I also hate how he bags St Kilda. "Richmond are 1-9, but let's bag the Saints shall we?". Peaky is too polite to fight back though, which is a shame...he needs a bit of vitriol.

I agree with all the points made above. But on some positives:

- Run home, ok the ox is numbnuts, but i like the dynamic of Francis Leech who is one of the most knowledgable hosts of all sports and how he reacts to the ox.
I had my doubts on Francis, i thought he wasnt himself early on, but he's fitted in really well and the run home is one of my favourites again.

- Footy coverage is first class, i still listen to MMM for the entertainment, but for coverage and comments SEN is a step above any other station.

Also good news for some is that Brett is taking over midnight-6am for 2 weeks! Certainly is, it,certainly,is.

Been impressed with their coverage but have to say tonight's coverage before the game was average. Its good that it starts at 5 but after 20 minutes I was waiting for triple m to start so I could switch over.

SEN is a bit boring with prematch on friday nights. Saturday afternoons are much better.

yeah im the same. even tho its mark fine i like the fact theyre on longer post games.

as for pre games, listened to it during my stay on the sth eastern tonite on the way to the dome. i cant handle dermie and his drivel. liam pickering is ok, but i had to turn to mmm. at least theres some life there, a bit of fun.
