You can't watch something that was originally aired before you were born?

Of course you can. But from what I've observed in the past, the older an episode of the Simpsons is the less it gets replayed.

So if it started being replayed for the first time when you were <1 it's pretty unlikely you'd see it when you are old enough to comprehend it.

Absolutely brilliant. An absolute peak in the history of The Simpsons. The music and the final stanza for the last 20 seconds or so culminating with Jones saying "Shall be lifted - nevermore" always gives me goosebumps.
